  1. *WELCOME TO HOSANNA! – *If you are a new or returning visitor, please be ushered to the gym after-service to a seat with a welcoming plate sheet, and let our Welcoming Team serve you a meal and a cup of water – absolutely free at no cost! Our church lunch is always free for all. **Today’s menu is cabbage soybean paste soup (baechu doenjang guk). It is our joy to serve you! Stay with us after-service to break bread. Fill-out a yellow newcomer’s contact card so that we can keep in touch. We welcome you into this family in Christ’s love and remain here for you as His body to grow and flourish together!
  2. *UPDATES from Bethany Korean Presbyterian Church –
    • *Education Head and Youth Minister Ha Cho, currently in an overstay period in Korea, is experiencing difficulties securing the visa for his new bride and wife, Mrs. Sarah Seong Hyeon Cho, to return together back to Dallas. *This Wednesday (5/8) is their second visa interview date. *Let us pray for the LORD’s grace to be with them and for a passing interview so that Minister Cho and Mrs. Cho can return to us safely and in a timely manner. While the youth minister is absent, any further questions about the youth ministry can be directed to Deaconess Kris Lee, director of youth ministry.
    • *Signup for the 2024 children’s VBS – “SCUBA: Diving into friendship with God” has begun! VBS will be from Thursday, June 6th and ending on Sunday, June 9th. On Thursday and Friday, the program will be from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. On Saturday, the program will be from 10:30am to 1:30pm. Ending on Sunday, the program will be from 11am to 1:30pm. Parents, register your child online at the QR code webpage, a link which also is on the homepage of our website (hosannapc.org) or register on paper at the south entrance foyer table, near the gym and Korean chapel. Payments can be made by Zelle with the information on the application form. *Let us pray and volunteer (as able) to help all children scuba-dive into friendship with Jesus. Share the registration link to other families and parents with children in need of a church family! Let us help both children and parents come to know Jesus through “SCUBA” VBS!
  3. *SEARCH FOR NEW STAFF BEGINNING – With the passing vote of the congregation and the support of the deacons, the session is beginning their official search for direct-hire of three new part-time staff: (1) Director of Worship & Praise Ministry; (2) Director of Worship Technology, Media & Arts Ministry; (3) Director of Hosanna Preschool Worship & Children’s Ministry. On the homepage of our website is a direct link to information and instructions to apply. Among our congregation, all who have received God’s calling for one or multiple staff roles are encouraged to apply for each one. If you know anyone who may be called of the LORD, please share the link to your spheres of influence with godly encouragements. Until the staff roles are filled, there is no deadline for applications. Above all, let us keep in prayer this search, for the Lord knows the needs of His church and will supply in His way and time. May the Lord bring His good and faithful choice servants.
  4. *TODAY – EQUIP HOUR, 1:30pm @ Corner Conference Room – We will explore this question – “What’s next after Life Groups?” As we keep meeting to break bread, share life, learn His Word, pray together, ever wonder what’s next or what’s the purpose? It’s important to see the grander portrait of how “life groups (LG’s)” are purposed by the LORD to cultivate “missional communities (MC’s)” – moving us from being a disciple to making a disciple, from being fish to learning to fish – as fishers, catching men and women into the grace of the gospel of Jesus Christ! Come share, be challenged and dream of cultivating LG’s into MC’s as we continue devoting ourselves to the LG ministry!
  5. *THIS FRIDAY (5/10), AGAPE life group, 6:30pm @ Deborah Ko’s home – At the gracious hospitality of Deborah Ko’s home, we invite all young adults to this Friday’s gathering. RSVP to Deacon Hana or in the group chat. Thank you in advance to all those opening their home for ministry. Pray for our AGAPE ministry of college, postgraduates, and newlyweds, gathering every Friday evening at 6:30pm at various homes, and our shepherds Deacon Hana Lee and assistant shepherd Jake Jeong, as they guide this precious family.
  6. *THIS SATURDAY (5/11) HOSANNA PRAYER MEETING, 8:30am @ Ezra Chapel – Praise God for our 2nd all-congregational prayer meeting! Already a month has passed since our launch. We call upon all the prayer warriors to come and cultivate a culture of corporate prayer together, calling out to the LORD in one mind, spirit, and voice. Parents, bring your children and spend some time intentionally praying for them. Let us foster cross-generational praying for our families, our mission as Hosanna Church family, and the world!
  7. *THIS SATURDAY to SUNDAY (5/11-12) KITCHEN MINISTRY – It’s that time again to help assist our Korean church’s kitchen team in the breaking bread ministry preparations and dishwashing. Signup with Elder Heather Lee.
  8. *NEXT SUNDAY (5/12) MOTHER’S APPRECIATION – Next Sunday, traditionally called Mother’s Day, is foremost a day to honor our LORD as His day, because He gave us the gift of our mothers. We will have a time to express appreciation and honor to the LORD for our Hosanna mothers, for all their sacrifice, compassion, nurture, and endurance to raise and steward God’s children to know and love Jesus.
  9. *NEXT SUNDAY (5/12) VBS PRAYER MEETING – The Korean church staff will lead a prayer meeting to pray for the upcoming “Scuba” VBS from 1pm to 2pm at Ezra Chapel. Let us pray for God’s blessing over our 2024 VBS with many children being drawn to dive deep into a relationship with Jesus Christ!
  10. *MEN OF HOSANNA (M.O.H.) MINISTRY, every Saturday 1pm @ Jake’s home – NEW BOOK! – All the brotherhood of Hosanna are welcomed to a new season together around the book Knowing God by J.I. Packer. The MOH (Men of Hosanna) meet every Saturday, 1pm at Jake’s home. Pray for our brotherhood of Hosanna to grow as strong men of God and His Word. See Coordinator Jake Jeong to get involved!
  11. *KINGDOM EXPANSION PRAYER – We will resume Kingdom expansion prayers next week.

***At this time, Pastor Chester will come forward to introduce a special guest, Director Ken Tse, visiting with us today.****
