Scripture: Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith. (HEBREWS 13:7) Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you. (HEBREWS 13:17) We ask you, brothers, to respect those who labor among you and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves. (1 THESSALONIANS 5:12-13) Prayer (by Pastor Chester): Father God, we lift up to You all of our Hosanna spiritual leaders – our ordained officers, our Pastor, Elder Heather, Elder Patrick, Deacon Chong, Deacon Gloria, Deacon Waywah, Deacon Angela, Minister Samantha, Director Rachel, Director Trey, and all the lay servants who lead by the example of Christ in word and deed. As Your Word commands, we remember our leaders, those who speak to us the Word of God. Let us consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith. Fill our Session and our Pastor with godly oversight for the governing and guarding of Your Church, in preaching and teaching and correcting and administering faithfully Your resources that will grow Your Kingdom through Hosanna. Let us consider the way of life of our Deacons and imitate their faith, as they seek to be above-reproach, blameless and clothed by Your righteousness and holiness, serving and praying and loving Your Church in all they say and do. Continue to fill with Your holy Spirit Minister Samantha. Lead us to the way of Jesus through her and raise her faith to be imitated among us. Speak Your Word through the mouth of Director Rachel to all the Hosanna children she teaches weekly with Your affections and love. Amplify your Word and praises in us with Director Trey’s guidance in media technology. We obey our leaders. We submit to them, as they keep watch over our souls. We do so with joy and not with groaning. We respect them as Your laborers, and we join them to imitate their example. Holy Spirit, help us be teachable, and admonish us through them. We esteem them very highly in love because of their work that brings us peace. Anoint them with this blessed prayer today, through Jesus Christ our sole leader and chief servant we pray, amen & amen.

Scripture: For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them. (MATTHEW 18:20) And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. (HEBREWS 10:24-25) And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. (ACTS 2:42) Prayer (by Pastor Chester): Father God, we lift up to You all our life groups and the life group gatherings into 2025. We ask of You to bring godly unity within life group members, and between members of other life groups and across life stages, and add new members to the groups that have yet to partake in this blessed communion and fellowship. You do not call us to be just one large group disconnected from each other, but just as Your Son chose the twelve among the many, would You strengthen these smaller gatherings with discipleship relationships, spiritually accountable relationships, and the giving and receiving of Christ’s life to one another. For where two or more are gathered in Your Name, there You are with them, Lord Jesus. Father God, we ask for Your provision for the JOHN life group, for Your next steps, Your new shepherd and their continual growth together. Let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good needs! Father, let us not neglect in meeting together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as we see Your Day drawing near. As these groups are termed “life groups” – may Your life be exchanged in devotion to teaching Your Word, to the breaking of bread, to the prayers, and in the fellowship of Your only Son, that broken lives will be made new, soul-stirring words of Christ will be discussed, and all life groups edified and equipped to be Your servants, through the Chief Giver of all life to all our groups in Hosanna, our Lord Jesus Christ we pray, amen & amen.
Scripture: A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” (JOHN 13:34-35) For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit. (1 CORINTHIANS 12:12-13) For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. (ROMANS 12:4-5) Prayer (by Pastor Chester): Father God, we thank You for all the new covenant partners You brought to us in 2024, and the most recent families and beloved souls – the Park’s and the Chao’s and brother Eric – to join us on Your ark of the covenant, and sail out to build Your Kingdom through this local bride of Yours – Hosanna Church. Father, we thank You ahead of time for all the new souls and families You will bring, who need to be loved and learn to love like Your Son has loved us, for that is all You mean by asking of our covenant partnership – to not just be spectators, but active participants in covenant with one another. Help us to obey Your new command – to love one another, just as You, Lord Jesus, have loved us, we are to love one another the same way, denying ourselves with the love of the cross for the sake of others. By this love, all people in north Dallas will know we are Your disciples! By our covenant love for You through each other, all people will know we are Your body, although with many members and functions, we are one body in Christ Your eternal Son, and we all baptized into one body of His beloved Church, Jews or Greeks, slaves or free – we all drink from the one Spirit. Remind us again and again we are not individuals before You, but individually members of each other. We pray for You to strengthen our covenant partnership with You beloved Hosanna Church. Strengthen our covenant partnership with each other – may those who have yet to do so, step into covenant with Hosanna. Add unto Hosanna those souls who need Your love through us, for the glory You will receive through Hosanna, in Jesus Christ the Head of the Church we pray, amen & amen.
Scripture: And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. (MARK 16:15) But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. (ACTS 1:8) And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (MATTHEW 28:18-20) ****You may be seated. ****Now I invite our Pastor forward for today’s Commissioning and Prayer.
Scripture: Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. (ISAIAH 43:18-19) To put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. (EPHESIANS 4:22-24) The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.” (LAMENTATIONS 3:22-24) Prayer (written by Pastor Chester): Heavenly Father, We give thanks for Your grace that makes this earth rotate around the sun once more. So also, let our lives center around Your eternal Son Christ Jesus, to see His glory again through His Church again. We remember not the former things, nor consider the things of the old patterns of thought and life. Behold, You are doing a new thing! It is springing forth! Help us perceive it, Lord. Make a way in the wilderness! Make rivers in our deserts! We put off our old selves in 2024, those that belong to our former manner of life in corrupt deceitful desires. Renew the spirit of our minds to put on the new self, created after Your likeness in true righteousness and holiness! Lord Jesus, let us be with You and like You more this new year of 2025. Your steadfast love never ceases, Your mercies never come to an end, for in 2025 they will be new every morning for us. Great is Your faithfulness! You are our portion. Holy Spirit, we hope in You. In month, we lean on Your strength to fill us to wipe tables, fold tables, setup chairs, prep food, wash dishes – help us be lowly servants as Christ was for us, to bless Your table of fellowship. Thank You for humbling us, and keeping Hosanna pressing on with the heart of Christ Jesus more and more, in His resurrected Name, Amen & amen.
Scripture: For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me… And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’ (MATTHEW 25:35, 40) “See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven... Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” (MATTHEW 18:10; 19:14) “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet. “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. (MATTHEW 5:13-16) Prayer (written by Pastor Chester): Heavenly Father, Thank You for 1952 – the year that You put in the heart of the Reverend Everett Swanson to establish Compassion International in Korea. Lord, You opened his eyes to see the plight of orphans in war-torn South Korea, and all the children left without parents, without homes, without food. We give You praise for Your glorious grace in growing Compassion Korea and Compassion International to the global ministry to Your children as it is today. Lord, keep them feeding the hungry, quenching the thirsty, welcoming the stranger with the compassion of Christ, for as they do to the least among them, they are doing to You. Raise Pastor Jim-Bob higher as the lamp of Your light, as your global ambassador for Your little children, whom their angels in heaven always see Your face. Let all Your little children come to You, Jesus, wherever Pastor Jim-Bob is sent to go, so they may not be hindered or lack anything to dream Your Kingdom dreams again, for to them belongs Your Kingdom of heaven. Go before Pastor Park’s feet, so that everywhere he steps he may bring Your saltiness back and Your powerful light shining that pierces the darkness away. May all see the good works of Compassion and Pastor Park and give glory to Your Name, through our Lord Jesus Christ who first had compassion on us, we pray, amen & amen. *I now invite Pastor Chester forward to introduce our special guest preacher today.
Scripture: And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers… And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts. (ACTS 2:42; ACTS 2:46) Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.” (MATTHEW 26:26) I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh. (JOHN 6:51) Prayer (written by Pastor Chester): Heavenly Father, we lift up to You our Kitchen servants and our current and future breaking of bread ministers. As the early Christ followers did, let us devote ourselves – devote ourselves to the apostles teaching, to the fellowship, to the prayers, and especially to the breaking of bread together. Day by day, find us attending Your temple, Your Church, and breaking bread together in our gatherings and in our homes, receiving our food with glad and generous hearts. For You, Lord Jesus, gave us the gift of Your communion – a shared life together with You – to receive Your grace when on the night You were betrayed, You took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to Your disciples, saying, “Take, eat, this is my body.” So give us a holy fear, that the bread we take and eat in this koinonia fellowship is not just to fill our stomachs, but to feed our souls, for You are spiritually present among us as the bread of life from heaven. You alone, Lord Jesus, are our living bread, and all who come to eat of You shall never grow hungry or thirsty again. We will all live forever with Your flesh within us. Help us experience this power of breaking bread, taking and eating the bread of Christ. Help us serve one another this bread, and in so doing would You feed us in the process. Flourish this ministry for the glory of Your Word, our living bread, so that no one may leave hungry, unfed, or starved from Hosanna. Open our mouths! Replenish our strength through the Living Bread our Lord Jesus Christ, whose body and bread was given unto us, amen & amen.
Scripture: Sing to him, sing praises to him; tell of all his wondrous works! (PSALM 105:2) But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth. (JOHN 4:23-24) Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. (PHILIPPIANS 4:8) Prayer (written by Pastor Chester): Heavenly Father, we lift up to You the Hosanna Worship & Praise team and the Worship Tech, Media, and Arts team. Let everything that has breath praise You, and let every breath sing to You of all your wondrous works through them. Increase their skillful wisdom in worship, praise, technology, media, and arts to showcase the wonder of beholding Christ Your eternal Son in all His glory. For the hour is now, as You, Lord Jesus, said, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for You look at the worship in the soul and the heart that coupled with the truth of Your Word. Holy Spirit, let us be the worshippers the Father is seeking through these two vital worship teams of the church. For You are Spirit, Father God, and those who worship You must worship in spirit and truth. Lord, we ask Your truth and holy Spirit to fill our shepherds – Minister Samnatha and Director Trey – to think whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, whatever is excellent, worthy of praise as they guide their teams with the affections and gentleness of Christ. Lead us through them, their humility, and their Christlike servanthood to serve from the bottom-up instead of the top-down. Hold them in inseparable unity so that You might get Your glory through them and all the faithful team members, through Jesus Christ their King and Savior, amen & amen.
Scripture: You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. (JOHN 15:16) This is why I left you in Crete, so that you might put what remained into order, and appoint elders in every town as I directed you. (TITUS 1:5) I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. (EPHESIANS 4:1-3) Prayer (written by Pastor Chester): Heavenly Father, we lift up to You Your ordained officers that You have specially anointed and consecrated and ordained, set apart for Your sacred calling and work. We lift up to You our Elders – Heather, JP, and Patrick; and our Deacons – Chong, Gloria, Waywah, and Angela; and our Pastor Chester – they did not choose this nor did they choose You, but You chose them and appointed them that they should go and bear fruit – fruit that will last and abide for eternity – so that whatever they ask in Your Name, You will give it to them as they seek to do Your will alone for Hosanna. Just as the apostle Paul left Titus in Crete so that Elders and Deacons and Pastors would be appointed in every town, so also you appointed them in this town, in this Church in the north Dallas area, so that Your Church might be put in godly order and Your people might be edified and equipped to do every good work in Christ. Therefore, remind our officers that they are but prisoners for the LORD God, chained to do only what You – their Master – commands – to say what You ask them to speak, and to go where You ask them to go, as servants and slaves of the Most High Christ Jesus, their Chief Servant of all. May they feel the urge of Your holy Word to keep walking in a manner worthy of the calling to which You have called them, with all humility, with all gentleness, with all patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Make them one, as You are one, and accomplish through things through their obedience of faith, through Christ Jesus our Lord and the Head of Hosanna Church we pray, amen & amen. |
