2/25 Sunday Announcements

1. *SEND-OFF COMMISSIONING – THE YANG FAMILY (Beomjoo, Haemin, Doyoun) – Today is as bittersweet day. The Yang family is returning to their home near Daejeon, Republic of Korea. Today is their final Sunday with us. We enjoyed their presence for the past year of their sabbatical. Pray for Beomjoo and Haemin as they return to their professorships at Hanbat National University and Chungbuk National University in the Daejeon/Cheongju area and their work in civil engineering, and Doyoun as he readjusts to life back in Korea. Pray for the many students and people the Yang family will interact with and teach, not only in the field of engineering but also in the sharing of their lives in Christ. *After these announcements conclude, Pastor Chester and the Elders will lead us in a time of prayerful commissioning.
2. *LENT DEVOTIONAL GUIDE – Make use of this online devotional that our friends at Highland Park Presbyterian Church of Dallas have created for the Lent season. Only one Scripture text and theme is dwelt on each week, with different aspects of the text and theme given throughout each day. This week’s text is LUKE 15:11-32 with the theme, “The Care of the Father.” In these days leading up to Easter, let us grow our hunger for the LORD through a fresh devotion to Him! 3. *NEW TABLE SIGNS AND NEWCOMER’S WELCOMING PLATE SHEETS! – Just another reminder that for our breaking bread fellowship after-service, we have table signs and plate sheets for new and returning visitors. Be the hands and feet of Jesus in serving our guests in table fellowship and let each empty plate sheet remind us to always be reaching out to those around us to share the living bread of Jesus Christ and to grow together in reflecting His image and love into the world.
4. *TODAY’S LUNCH MENU – KOREAN RADISH AND FISH CAKE SOUP (auh-mook-guk)! – As time allows, join us after-service to break bread together in the gym as an important part of our worship on the LORD’s day. Today’s menu is delicious Korean radish and fish cake soup! Thank you to our Korean church’s kitchen ministry for serving us. Thank them by enjoying the soup! 
5. *TODAY, SESSION/ELDER BOARD meeting! – The Board will be gathering at 1:30pm at the Corner Conference Room this Sunday. Please pray for our Elders, spiritual overseers, shepherds, and servants!
6. *THIS FRIDAY (3/1), AGAPE life group, 6:30pm! – We invite all young adults to this Friday’s gathering at Deborah’s home. RSVP to Deacon Hana or the group chat. Thank you in advance to the Ko’s for opening their home for ministry. Pray for our AGAPE ministry of college, postgraduates, and newlyweds, gathering every Friday evening at 6:30pm at various homes, and our shepherd, Deacon Hana Lee, as she guides this precious family. 
7. *THIS SATURDAY (3/2), JOSHUA life group, 4:00pm @ Ezra Chapel! – We invite all adults and families to this Saturday’s gathering at Ezra Chapel. RSVP to Elder Joung or the group chat. Pray for our JOSHUA ministry of adults and families, gathering every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month at Ezra Chapel, and our shepherd, Elder Joung Park, as he guides this precious family.

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. (Revelation 3:20-22)
 
And a vision appeared to Paul in the night: a man of Macedonia was standing there, urging him and saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” (Acts 16:9)
 
Prayer by Pastor Will Zhao:
Our generous God, creator, redeemer, and healer of sinners, thank you for loving us as your children and rebuking us when it is needed. Help us to avoid being lukewarm and self-centered, but let us be generous and open our doors to you and your children. Grant us your vision of bringing lost sheep to you; build up the new kingdom expressions in Texas through our prayers and support. Please bless and enrich those congregation that are supporting the expansion of your Kingdom here in Texas. For Christ's sake, Amen.
