  1. *LENT DEVOTIONAL GUIDE – The 40 weekdays before Easter (known as “Lent” meaning “fortieth”) has begun. Our friends at Highland Park Presbyterian Church of Dallas have created a Lent daily devotional to carry us through this holy season, up to the Passion Week, Good Friday and Easter LORD’s Day. Only one Scripture text is dwelt on each week, with different aspects of the text given throughout each day. Therefore, you can read and re-read the same passage for the entire week, dwelling on something new each day. Make use of this devotional and also the practice of fasting and prayer. Instead of thinking of fasting as abstaining from/giving up something, let us see this spiritual discipline for what it really is - indulging/adding up everything within us a greater hunger for God. Whether it be through carving time away from a meal or activity, let us grow our hunger for the LORD through a fresh devotion to Him! The devotional can be found at the unlisted online webpage or the pictured QR code: https://www.hosannapc.org/lent.html
  2. *NEW TABLE SIGNS AND NEWCOMER’S WELCOMING PLATE SHEETS! – Church, let Jesus make a great first impression through your smile, greeting, and leading to the gym for a time of breaking bread to all our first-time and returning visitors! You will notice that we have table signs now so that we can all sit together in one area, and a special section with plate sheets for our visiting and returning guests. Please host and usher our newcomers to the seats with plate sheets – even get their food for them, a cup of water, and sit-down together to introduce yourself and get to know them. Church, be the hands and feet of Jesus to all our new family in Christ! And let each empty plate sheet in any given week be a reminder of how we need to reach out with courage in the gospel to invite those around us in need or in search for a church family, to be loved by the Lord Jesus through us and grow in reflecting His image and love into the world.
  3. *TOMORROW'’S LUNCH MENU – KOREAN SPICY BEEF STEW WITH RICE (mae-kom-sohgogi-gukbap)! – As time allows, join us after-service to break bread together in the gym as an important part of our worship on the LORD’s day. Tomorrow’s menu is delicious Korean spicy beef stew with rice! Thank you to our Korean church’s kitchen ministry for serving us. Thank them by enjoying the stew!
  4. *THIS FRIDAY (2/23), AGAPE life group **BREAK WEEK**! – Thank you for gathering so faithfully the past weeks and please take a well-needed and well-deserved break week until the next gathering resumes on 3/1 (Fri), location TBA. Pray for our AGAPE ministry of college, postgraduate, and newlyweds, gathering every Friday evening at 6:30pm at various homes, and our shepherd, Deacon Hana Lee, as she guides this precious family.
  5. *NEXT SUNDAY (2/25), SESSION/ELDER BOARD meeting! – The Board will be gathering at 1:30pm at the Corner Conference Room next Sunday. Please pray for our spiritual overseers, shepherds, and servants!
  6. *KINGDOM EXPANSION PRAYER –
**Prayer Topic: Resources for New and Existing Church Plants and Micro-Expressions

**Minister/Church: Rev. Dr. Dana Allin, ECO Synod Executive

He lives in Santa Barbara with his wife, Beth and their three children – Micah, Peyton, and Piper.

The Scripture is:

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. (Philippians 4:4-6)

Prayer by Rev. Dr. Dana Allin:
Lord, we thank you that as we think about the overwhelming needs to start and strengthen churches we are reminded of your command to rejoice and not be anxious as we come to you in prayer. And so God we know that you equip your people for any task to which you have called them. We pray therefore that you would cultivate boldness and generosity in our congregations and leaders to pursue the mission to which we have been called. We pray that you would raise up the next generation of pastors in and through our congregations and that you would ignite the hearts of our covenant partners to capture a vision for ways that you are calling them to greater ministry in your name. Finally, Lord we do this with thanksgiving knowing that you already know our needs and are ready to supply. In Jesus name, Amen!

*Pray for tomorrow's message and prepare your heart to hear from the LORD!
