  1. *HAPPY MARCH BIRTHDAYS! -
    1. 3/5, Chester Chung
    2. 3/13, Philip Oh
    3. 3/23, John Huh
  2. *LENT DEVOTIONAL GUIDE – As we continue into this season of lent, we are using the online devotional by our friends at Highland Park Presbyterian Church of Dallas. One Scripture text is given per week, with different aspects of the text highlighted throughout each day to draw us deeper into God’s Word. This week’s text is JOHN 14:25-27 with the theme, “The Promise to Come.” In these days leading up to Easter, let us grow our hunger for the LORD through a fresh devotion to Him! The devotional can be found at the unlisted online webpage (at this link).
  3. *SUNDAY LUNCH TABLES/CHAIRS SETUP/CLEANUP – For all Sundays in March, Hosanna is taking stewardship of setting-up and cleaning-up the tables/chairs, seating for 300 people, in the gym for Sunday lunch. *Special thanks to the team of servants laboring today at 2pm for the table/chair setup. This is a very large and labor-heavy task. We need all hands on deck if possible, to accomplish it efficiently and quickly, continuing tomorrow (Sunday) after-lunch at 1:00pm for the cleanup portion. All tables need to be wiped down plus folded and put away, alongside the chairs. If you can help for any Saturday setup especially, see Elder Heather. Thank you!
  4. *NEW TABLE SIGNS AND NEWCOMER’S WELCOMING PLATE SHEETS! – Just another reminder that for our breaking bread fellowship after-service, we have table signs and plate sheets for new and returning visitors. Be the hands and feet of Jesus in serving our guests in table fellowship. Let each empty plate sheet remind us to always be reaching out to those around us to share the living bread of Jesus Christ and to grow together in reflecting His image and love into the world.
  5. *TOMORROW’S LUNCH MENU – KOREAN SOFT TOFU SOUP (sundubu-jjigae)! – Also a children’s menu of seaweed and rice will be provided weekly for non-spicy eaters. As time allows, join us after-service tomorrow to break bread together in the gym as an important part of our worship on the LORD’s day. Tomorrow’s menu is delicious Korean soft tofu soup! Thank you to our Korean church’s kitchen ministry for serving us. Thank them by enjoying the soup!
  6. *THIS FRIDAY (3/8), AGAPE life group, 6:30pm! – Location TBA. We invite all young adults to this Friday’s gathering. RSVP to Deacon Hana or in the group chat. Thank you in advance to all those opening their home for ministry. As the LORD leads, signup to host a gathering (at this link). Pray for our AGAPE ministry of college, postgraduates, and newlyweds, gathering every Friday evening at 6:30pm at various homes, and our shepherd, Deacon Hana Lee, as she guides this precious family.
  7. *NEXT SATURDAY - SUNDAY (3/9-3/10) -
    1. TABLES/CHAIRS SETUP & CLEANUP - Next Saturday (time TBA), tables/chairs will need to be setup anytime after Korean school ends at 12:30pm. On Sunday at 1:00pm after lunch in the gym, the tables/chairs will need to be cleaned, folded, and put away. Thank you!
    2. KITCHEN MINISTRY! – Thank you to next Saturday’s food-prep servants (Deborah Ko; Aiden Song; Ashley Chung; Heather Lee) and Sunday’s dishwashing servants (Edward Jeon; Aiden Song). As a reminder, the Saturday food-prep starts 9:30am and the Sunday dishwashing starts 12:40pm. Dishwashing servants, make sure to eat at your earliest convenience next Sunday to start on-time. Thank you!
    3. *NEXT SUNDAY (3/10), PRAISE TEAM meeting, 1:30pm @ Corner Conference Room - The Praise Team and coordinators of the Media Team are gathering for an important meeting next Sunday for discernment and future direction. *It is predicted that the 1:30pm time may need to be delayed to 1:45pm due to the table/chair cleanup stewardship for Sunday lunch. When the cleanup task is finished, the meeting will commence accordingly in the Corner Conference Room.
  8. *COMING IN APRIL - HOSANNA SPRING PICNIC! – Get excited for our Spring Worship at the Park & Picnic on the LORD's Day Sunday (4/21) at Mary Heads Carter Park in Carrollton with an outdoor Sunday worship at the pavilion, followed by a delicious BBQ picnic lunch with fellowship, activities/games and prizes from 10am to 3pm. As we keep announcing this blessed picnic worship throughout the next few weeks, familiarize yourself with the location change for that particular Sunday (4/21) - *WE WILL NOT BE MEETING AT THE CHURCH FACILITY, but AT THE PARK! - and enjoy God’s beautiful outdoor weather and creation. Most importantly, let us fellowship together across generations and life stages as one spiritual family, drawing closer to each other around our Hosanna King, Jesus Christ! *DISCLAIMER: This event is not sponsored by the City of Carrollton. *Brother Chong Choe is directing the logistics. He has made a sign-up sheet for servants to serve (click on this link) to make the picnic go smoothly - see the areas you can serve to make this a blessed time for each other and sign-up to join the Picnic Crew Team to serve. 10. *KINGDOM EXPANSION PRAYER for this week –
**Prayer Topic: Congregations not currently supporting Kingdom-expansion in Texas
**Minister/Church: Rev. Emmanuel Paulpeter, Creo Christ House Church-plant of First Presbyterian Church of Houston

Creo Christ is a missional community/house church that meets near the Montrose area in Houston. This is a community that creates a safe place for believers as well as non-believers to explore the Christian faith. It is an extension of the ministry of First Presbyterian Church of Houston, led by Outreach Pastor Emmanuel Paulpeter.

The Scripture is:

He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. (2 Corinthians 9:10)

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever. (1 John 2:15-17)

Prayer by Rev. Emmanuel Paulpeter:
Father - Thank you for being a loving Father who is knocking at the door of our hearts! We hear you knocking on the door of our hearts to lead us further into the mission to the world for the sake of the Gospel, by participating in planting Gospel communities. I pray that you would soften our hearts especially in places where it is jaded, hardened and callous. Help us to align our heart to the tune of what is close to your heart for our neighbors, city and the world. In the name of Jesus, empower us by the Holy Spirit so we would be your faithful servants going on mission joyfully, proclaiming your love, for the glory of your name. In Christ’s name we pray, Amen!

*Pray for tomorrow's message and prepare your heart to hear from the LORD!

The Scripture is:

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. (Revelation 3:20-22)

And a vision appeared to Paul in the night: a man of Macedonia was standing there, urging him and saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” (Acts 16:9)

Prayer by Pastor Will Zhao:
Our generous God, creator, redeemer, and healer of sinners, thank you for loving us as your children and rebuking us when it is needed. 1. *LENT DEVOTIONAL GUIDE – The 40 weekdays before Easter (known as “Lent” meaning “fortieth”) has begun. Our friends at Highland Park Presbyterian Church of Dallas have created a Lent daily devotional to carry us through this holy season, up to the Passion Week, Good Friday and Easter LORD’s Day. Only one Scripture text is dwelt on each week, with different aspects of the text given throughout each day. Therefore, you can read and re-read the same passage for the entire week, dwelling on something new each day. Make use of this devotional and also the practice of fasting and prayer. Instead of thinking of fasting as abstaining from/giving up something, let us see this spiritual discipline for what it really is - indulging/adding up everything within us a greater hunger for God. Whether it be through carving time away from a meal or activity, let us grow our hunger for the LORD through a fresh devotion to Him! The devotional can be found at the unlisted online webpage or the pictured QR code: https://www.hosannapc.org/lent.html
  2. *NEW TABLE SIGNS AND NEWCOMER’S WELCOMING PLATE SHEETS! – Church, let Jesus make a great first impression through your smile, greeting, and leading to the gym for a time of breaking bread to all our first-time and returning visitors! You will notice that we have table signs now so that we can all sit together in one area, and a special section with plate sheets for our visiting and returning guests. Please host and usher our newcomers to the seats with plate sheets – even get their food for them, a cup of water, and sit-down together to introduce yourself and get to know them. Church, be the hands and feet of Jesus to all our new family in Christ! And let each empty plate sheet in any given week be a reminder of how we need to reach out with courage in the gospel to invite those around us in need or in search for a church family, to be loved by the Lord Jesus through us and grow in reflecting His image and love into the world.
  3. *TOMORROW'’S LUNCH MENU – KOREAN SPICY BEEF STEW WITH RICE (mae-kom-sohgogi-gukbap)! – As time allows, join us after-service to break bread together in the gym as an important part of our worship on the LORD’s day. Tomorrow’s menu is delicious Korean spicy beef stew with rice! Thank you to our Korean church’s kitchen ministry for serving us. Thank them by enjoying the stew!
  4. *THIS FRIDAY (2/23), AGAPE life group **BREAK WEEK**! – Thank you for gathering so faithfully the past weeks and please take a well-needed and well-deserved break week until the next gathering resumes on 3/1 (Fri), location TBA. Pray for our AGAPE ministry of college, postgraduate, and newlyweds, gathering every Friday evening at 6:30pm at various homes, and our shepherd, Deacon Hana Lee, as she guides this precious family.
  5. *NEXT SUNDAY (2/25), SESSION/ELDER BOARD meeting! – The Board will be gathering at 1:30pm at the Corner Conference Room next Sunday. Please pray for our spiritual overseers, shepherds, and servants!
  6. *KINGDOM EXPANSION PRAYER –
**Prayer Topic: Resources for New and Existing Church Plants and Micro-Expressions

**Minister/Church: Rev. Dr. Dana Allin, ECO Synod Executive

Rev. Dr. Dana Allin is ECO’s Synod Executive. Dana formerly served as the President of the board of ECO, the pastor of Indian River Presbyterian Church in Fort Pierce, FL and the pastor of Christ Presbyterian Church in Lakewood, CA. Dana attended Fuller Seminary, where he received both an MDiv and a DMin. He also has a BS in Microbiology from University of California, Santa Barbara and is an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation. Dana’s passion to encourage and inspire leaders has led him to develop both the Missional Leader Training program and the Coach Certification Process. He lives in Santa Barbara with his wife, Beth and their three children – Micah, Peyton, and Piper.

The Scripture is:

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. (Philippians 4:4-6)

Prayer by Rev. Dr. Dana Allin:
Lord, we thank you that as we think about the overwhelming needs to start and strengthen churches we are reminded of your command to rejoice and not be anxious as we come to you in prayer. And so God we know that you equip your people for any task to which you have called them. We pray therefore that you would cultivate boldness and generosity in our congregations and leaders to pursue the mission to which we have been called. We pray that you would raise up the next generation of pastors in and through our congregations and that you would ignite the hearts of our covenant partners to capture a vision for ways that you are calling them to greater ministry in your name. Finally, Lord we do this with thanksgiving knowing that you already know our needs and are ready to supply. In Jesus name, Amen!

*Pray for tomorrow's message and prepare your heart to hear from the LORD!

  9. *KINGDOM EXPANSION PRAYER –
**Prayer Topic: Increased and Improved Individual Witness
**Minister/Church: Rev. Simon Kingori, Highland Park All Nations Community, Dallas, TX

All Nations Community is part of the family of churches supported by Highland Park Presbyterian Church in Dallas, and is an African immigrant community of faith meeting at Highland Park’s Wynne Chapel at 11am, every Sunday. TX. All Nations began with roots in the African community and is growing in diversity under the leadership of Rev. Simon Kingori. Let us pray that through All Nations, many souls will be touched with the gospel of Jesus Christ in Dallas and beyond!

The Scripture is:

And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” (Luke 9:23)

And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.” (Isaiah 6:8)

And Peter answered him, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.” He said, “Come.” So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, “Lord, save me.” Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. And those in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.” (Matthew 14:28-33)

Prayer by Rev. Simon Kingori:
Lord, we thank you for sending your son Jesus Christ into the world. Through His death and resurrection we have been reconciled to you as our Father. And now that Jesus has come into our lives and is working in us, we are grateful He has called us to partner with Him in bringing restoration to others and to the world. What an incredible privilege! Help us to be inspired and be willing to respond to the invitation to say, “Here I am, Send Me.” For how will they believe in whom they have never heard, and how will they hear without someone preaching, And how are they to preach unless they are sent? And thank you that we get to share the good news in the power of the Holy Spirit. Through Jesus Christ we pray. Amen!
