*MISSED LAST SUNDAY? – We missed you and hope you had a chance to worship and rest in the Lord and His people! *It was Commissioning Sunday where we sent-off our beloved Huh family (John & Deacon Angela, their daughters Athena & Eliana) to God’s next seasons of ministry in their hometown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Our journey in “THE CHURCH IN ACTION” continued through the book of Acts with a message on how God’s sovereign power and comfort keeps us pressing on in times of pain and confusion the signs of a godly life abiding with Christ, part 15 – Continue with All Boldness into His Sovereign Predestined Plan (ACTS 4:23-31). Re-watch here: (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MAlLogn7qXQ). **You can always join us virtually livestream wherever you are in the world at our livestream webpage, every Sunday morning at 10:30am (CDT – central time): https://www.youtube.com/@HosannaPresbyterianChurch/streams *COMMISSIONING TO PHILADELPHIA – GOODBYE FOR NOW! – Please continue to keep in prayer the Huh family as they settle in the Philadelphia area in Pennsylvania, praying that the Lord abundantly flourish them for His glory. And pray for His Spirit to lead them to the next covenant community to be His Church, His light, and overflowing love to Philadelphia! *DEPARTING ON MONDAY NEXT WEEK – HONDURAS MISSION! – The Honduras mission is just around the corner! They depart next Monday! Many are part of this mission team this year. We too are part of this mission in our co-partnership with Bethany Korean Church. Whether sent bodily or prayerfully, let us send our prayers on ahead to Honduras with the team for their effective ministry and spread of the love of Jesus Christ! See Elder Heather for details of team members & prayer requests. *THROUGHOUT JULY & AUGUST – PRAY FOR NEXT 2025-’26 CLASS OF ORDAINED OFFICERS (future Elders & Deacons)! – Throughout July and August, we enter an important season of discernment for Hosanna’s future spiritual leadership. *The Church is only as strong as its servant-leaders. We ask all sincere and maturing followers of Jesus Christ to consider praying about stepping into ordained office of Deacon and Elder (click the links for detailed information on definition, roles & responsibilities). Please pray for a blessed discernment process and ordination/installation of the ordained class of 2025-‘26 on our 2nd Anniversary Celebration Sunday, September 21, 2025. *PRAISE SONGS for this SUNDAY! – Practice them and be ready to sing them on Sunday morning. Praise on, brothers and sisters! (1) House of the Lord; (2) Bless God; (3) The Church *THIS SUNDAY’S BREAKOUT DISCUSSION GROUPS after-service in the gymnasium cafeteria – This Sunday, spend some time in your group tables and share the life of the preached Word. Pre-read, think through, and share this spiritual food in discussion with one another! “Hold Everything in Common, Leaving No Needy Person Among You” (ACTS 4:32-37). (1.) [v.32-33] What happened when the full number of believers were united in one heart and soul (v.32)? How did this affect the testifying of the resurrection of Christ by the apostles (v.33)? When I act like I am the owner of all my belongings while God is the borrower of them, what happens? When I rest in the fact that God is the owner of all my belongings while I am the borrower of them, what happens? How can I be a channel of holding my things as His common things, especially for the people of God and His Church? How can I change “It belongs to me” to “It belongs to us and to Christ”? How will this affect my testimony to the resurrection of Christ? (2.) [v.34-35] What resulted from all the believers sharing everything they had in common (v.34)? How sacrificial were they to share (v.34)? Who did they give their proceeds to (v.35)? Who is the needy person around me that Jesus is calling me to? How can Christ use what little or much I have to be His providential provision to meet their practical need? Like the apostles’ feet where all the proceeds were laid and distributed, how is the Church called to be the channel of my giving as God’s provision for those in need? (3.) [v.36-37] What did Joseph do that gave him the nickname “son of encouragement [Barnabas]”? How is godly encouragement connected to my giving? Like Barnabas, who can I encourage by my God-provided resources? *UPCOMING (*notice some dates may have changed) –

*MISSED LAST SUNDAY? – We missed you and hope you had a chance to worship and rest in the Lord and His people! *It was Father’s Appreciation Sunday where we honored all the men of Hosanna for their godly fatherhood. Thank you to all the Hosanna fathers who show us the Father God’s heart – Justin Chao, Chong Choe, Chester Chung, Waywah Gee, John Huh, Jonathan Jeng, Hoon Park, Johnson Hoey, Jason Ventura. Our journey in “THE CHURCH IN ACTION” continued through the book of Acts with a message on the signs of a godly life abiding with Christ, part 14 – Be with Jesus and Do What is Right in His Sight (ACTS 4:13-22). Re-watch here: (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Coc0CHV30uo&t=2144s). **You can always join us virtually livestream wherever you are in the world at our livestream webpage, every Sunday morning at 10:30am (CDT – central time): https://www.youtube.com/@HosannaPresbyterianChurch/streams *REAR CHAPEL CRY ROOM SPEAKER NOT WORKING PROPERLY – For those who use the rear Cry Room of the Chapel, take note that the speakers are not working properly and therefore there will be no more audio broadcast into the room during worship. We apologize for this inconvenience and will work to fix the problem as soon as we can. Thank you. *TODAY – HAPPY JUNETEENTH HOLIDAY (6/19)! – On June 19, 1865, our nation celebrated the ending of all slavery in the United States, enforced by the late President Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation, and a final end to the American Civil War, that we now commemorate as the holiday Juneteenth for the date it was secured (June 19th – nineteenth). Spend a moment to thank God for Juneteenth – this freedom that we now have and often take for granted – to live as followers of Jesus, worship Him freely, and to treat all people endowed with God’s image with dignity and never as property. Moreover, let us remember Christ who set us free from the bondage of slavery to sin, so that we might be slaves to righteousness, set free to live for His glorious name. *STARTING TODAY – until Sunday (6/19-22) “BETTER TOGETHER!” YOUTH SUMMER RETREAT at Sailer Resort (Gainesville, Texas) – Take time to pray for a safe and powerful time of revival and spiritual growth for all the precious youth in Christ! Thank you especially to Rev. Song, Director Kris Lee, youth teachers and volunteers for making this wonderful revival possible for the students! *THIS SATURDAY (6/21) –
*THIS SUNDAY (6/22) –
*REMINDER: SUNDAY WORSHIP START-TIME CHANGE IN EFFECT – 10:30AM! – *Plan your arrival around 10:20am to prepare your heart for worship together in prayer. *UPCOMING NEXT WEEK –
*THIS SUNDAY’S BREAKOUT DISCUSSION GROUPS after-service in the gymnasium cafeteria – This Sunday, spend some time in your group tables and share the life of the preached Word. Pre-read, think through, and share this spiritual food in discussion with one another! “Continue with All Boldness into His Sovereign Predestined Plan” (ACTS 4:23-31). 1. [v.23-26] Hearing of Peter and John’s release from custody, what did they all do and say together to God (v.24)? According to PSALM 2:1-2, how did they already know and expect God’s plan in Christ (v.25-26)? Do I already know God’s sovereign plan for me, that patterns the plan He had for His only Son? What is that plan? Instead of being surprised, disappointed, or hurt, what should I expect when I am following Jesus boldly as my anointed King? 2. [v.27-28] What did God the Father already predestine to take place by His mighty hand (v.27-28)? How is God already in control of whatever takes place in my life? How is this predestining control of God a source of comfort in God instead of doubt about God? Like He did with His only Son, how is God sovereignly taking the evil in my life and turning it for His predestined good? 3. [v.29-31] Even after being threatened, what do they ask the Lord for (v.29-30)? After they had prayed this, what happened (v.31)? How are my setbacks, hardships, difficulties, and adversities actually a gift from God to continue taking ahold of all power and boldness from Him? How is the Holy Spirit desiring to fill me with His boldness today through prayer and the speaking of the word of God? *UPCOMING (*notice some dates may have changed) –

*MISSED LAST SUNDAY? – We missed you! It was Pentecost Sunday, and we celebrated the Holy Spirit’s arrival in a rushing mighty wind and tongues of fire on the earliest followers of Christ! We advanced our journey of “THE CHURCH IN ACTION” through the book of Acts with a message on the unstoppable resurrected Lord Jesus, who was like a rejected stone that has become the cornerstone foundation of life, making known the unstoppable Jesus and His undeniable foundation, part 13 – Make Known the Rejected Stone Has Become the Cornerstone (ACTS 4:1-12). Re-watch here: (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pwKtQ0GKVmA). **You can always join us virtually livestream wherever you are in the world at our webpage, every Sunday morning at 10:30am (CDT – central time): https://www.youtube.com/@HosannaPresbyterianChurch/streams *HAPPY BIRTHDAY THIS WEEK!!! – Happiest birthday today (6/12) to our dear brother & shepherd Jonathan Jeng and on Saturday (6/14) to our dear sister & youth graduate Sophie Park! Join us in thanking and blessing our godly fathers!

*UPCOMING NEXT WEEK – SUNDAY (6/22) COMMISSIONING/SEND-OFF: The Huh family (John, Angela, Athena, Eliana) have prayerfully discerned God’s next calling to return to their hometown in Philadelphia. 6/22 will be their last Sunday with us. We rejoice in bittersweet heart, sorrowful to say goodbye for now, but joyful that another beautiful Church family and Kingdom work awaits them in Philadelphia! Let us prepare our hearts and blessing for the Huh’s! *PRAISE SONGS for this SUNDAY! – Practice them and be ready to sing them on Sunday morning. Praise on, brothers and sisters! (1) Great Things; (2) Nothing Else; (3) The Cause of Christ *THIS SUNDAY’S BREAKOUT DISCUSSION GROUPS after-service in the gymnasium cafeteria – This Sunday, spend some time in your group tables and share the life of the preached Word. Pre-read, think through, and share this spiritual food in discussion with one another! “Be with Jesus and DO What is Right in His Sight” (ACTS 4:13-22). 1. [v.13] What did the temple leaders see, perceive, and recognize in Peter and John (v.13)? The word “boldness” means to “tell it all, tell it like it is, plainly, confidently, bluntly, publicly, fearlessly, without concealment.” How can I be bold in all the wrong things? Like Peter and John, what happens when I am bold in righteous and holy things? Why have I lacked godly boldness? If I have “been with Jesus” like Peter and John, what happens to me and what do others see, perceive, and recognize from me? In Christ, how do I need to “tell it all” today? 2. [v.14-18] Although the temple leaders see, perceive, and recognize what is right, how do they go about conferring, strategizing, and doing what is wrong (v.17-18)? How have I seen, perceived, and recognized Christ in what is right, yet gone about conferring, strategizing, and doing what is not of Christ? When has Jesus drawn me to be with Him? Yet, how am I living like I am without Him? 3. [v.19-22] Who was Peter and John resolved to listen to rather than the temple leaders (v.19)? Why did they refuse to stop teaching about Jesus (v.20)? Why couldn’t the temple leaders stop them (v.21-22)? Rather than to God, who/what are you listening to? How is this controlling you to continue speaking, thinking, and doing what is wrong, although God has given you signs (like the healed lame man) to listen to what is right before Him? *UPCOMING (*notice some dates may have changed) –
