*MISSED LAST SUNDAY? – We missed you and hope you had a chance to worship and rest in the Lord and His people! *It was Commissioning Sunday where we sent-off our beloved Huh family (John & Deacon Angela, their daughters Athena & Eliana) to God’s next seasons of ministry in their hometown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Our journey in “THE CHURCH IN ACTION” continued through the book of Acts with a message on how God’s sovereign power and comfort keeps us pressing on in times of pain and confusion the signs of a godly life abiding with Christ, part 15 – Continue with All Boldness into His Sovereign Predestined Plan (ACTS 4:23-31). Re-watch here: (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MAlLogn7qXQ). **You can always join us virtually livestream wherever you are in the world at our livestream webpage, every Sunday morning at 10:30am (CDT – central time): https://www.youtube.com/@HosannaPresbyterianChurch/streams *COMMISSIONING TO PHILADELPHIA – GOODBYE FOR NOW! – Please continue to keep in prayer the Huh family as they settle in the Philadelphia area in Pennsylvania, praying that the Lord abundantly flourish them for His glory. And pray for His Spirit to lead them to the next covenant community to be His Church, His light, and overflowing love to Philadelphia! *DEPARTING ON MONDAY NEXT WEEK – HONDURAS MISSION! – The Honduras mission is just around the corner! They depart next Monday! Many are part of this mission team this year. We too are part of this mission in our co-partnership with Bethany Korean Church. Whether sent bodily or prayerfully, let us send our prayers on ahead to Honduras with the team for their effective ministry and spread of the love of Jesus Christ! See Elder Heather for details of team members & prayer requests. *THROUGHOUT JULY & AUGUST – PRAY FOR NEXT 2025-’26 CLASS OF ORDAINED OFFICERS (future Elders & Deacons)! – Throughout July and August, we enter an important season of discernment for Hosanna’s future spiritual leadership. *The Church is only as strong as its servant-leaders. *UPCOMING NEXT WEEK –
*PRAISE SONGS for this SUNDAY! – Practice them and be ready to sing them on Sunday morning. Praise on, brothers and sisters! (1) House of the Lord; (2) Bless God; (3) The Church *THIS SUNDAY’S BREAKOUT DISCUSSION GROUPS after-service in the gymnasium cafeteria – This Sunday, spend some time in your group tables and share the life of the preached Word. Pre-read, think through, and share this spiritual food in discussion with one another! “Hold Everything in Common, Leaving No Needy Person Among You” (ACTS 4:32-37). (1.) [v.32-33] What happened when the full number of believers were united in one heart and soul (v.32)? How did this affect the testifying of the resurrection of Christ by the apostles (v.33)? When I act like I am the owner of all my belongings while God is the borrower of them, what happens? When I rest in the fact that God is the owner of all my belongings while I am the borrower of them, what happens? How can I be a channel of holding my things as His common things, especially for the people of God and His Church? How can I change “It belongs to me” to “It belongs to us and to Christ”? How will this affect my testimony to the resurrection of Christ? (2.) [v.34-35] What resulted from all the believers sharing everything they had in common (v.34)? How sacrificial were they to share (v.34)? Who did they give their proceeds to (v.35)? Who is the needy person around me that Jesus is calling me to? How can Christ use what little or much I have to be His providential provision to meet their practical need? Like the apostles’ feet where all the proceeds were laid and distributed, how is the Church called to be the channel of my giving as God’s provision for those in need? (3.) [v.36-37] What did Joseph do that gave him the nickname “son of encouragement [Barnabas]”? How is godly encouragement connected to my giving? Like Barnabas, who can I encourage by my God-provided resources? *UPCOMING (*notice some dates may have changed) –
