*MISSED LAST SUNDAY? – We missed you! It was Pentecost Sunday, and we celebrated the Holy Spirit’s arrival in a rushing mighty wind and tongues of fire on the earliest followers of Christ! We advanced our journey of “THE CHURCH IN ACTION” through the book of Acts with a message on the unstoppable resurrected Lord Jesus, who was like a rejected stone that has become the cornerstone foundation of life, making known the unstoppable Jesus and His undeniable foundation, part 13 – Make Known the Rejected Stone Has Become the Cornerstone (ACTS 4:1-12). Congratulations and we bless you with the love of the Lord to another year of walking farther with Jesus Christ! *THANK YOU, GODLY FATHERS! – This Sunday is a special father’s appreciation Lord’s Day. We thank all the men of God at Hosanna – both single and married – and we take a special time to pray for and bless our godly fathers whom God has entrusted to his children, as they model for us Christ’s servanthood and shepherdship! *This Sunday, all fathers will receive the gift – “Man of God” fountain pen and the book How do We Plant Godly Convictions in Our Children – so that they may continue to pen the truths of Scripture and plant godly convictions in the children stewarded to them in fatherhood by our perfect heavenly Father God. *UPCOMING NEXT WEEK – SUNDAY (6/22) COMMISSIONING/SEND-OFF: The Huh family (John, Angela, Athena, Eliana) have prayerfully discerned God’s next calling to return to their hometown in Philadelphia. 6/22 will be their last Sunday with us. We rejoice in bittersweet heart, sorrowful to say goodbye for now, but joyful that another beautiful Church family and Kingdom work awaits them in Philadelphia! Let us prepare our hearts and blessing for the Huh’s! *PRAISE SONGS for this SUNDAY! – Practice them and be ready to sing them on Sunday morning. Praise on, brothers and sisters! (1) Great Things; (2) Nothing Else; (3) The Cause of Christ *THIS SUNDAY’S BREAKOUT DISCUSSION GROUPS after-service in the gymnasium cafeteria – This Sunday, spend some time in your group tables and share the life of the preached Word. Pre-read, think through, and share this spiritual food in discussion with one another! “Be with Jesus and DO What is Right in His Sight” (ACTS 4:13-22). 1. [v.13] What did the temple leaders see, perceive, and recognize in Peter and John (v.13)? The word “boldness” means to “tell it all, tell it like it is, plainly, confidently, bluntly, publicly, fearlessly, without concealment.” How can I be bold in all the wrong things? Like Peter and John, what happens when I am bold in righteous and holy things? Why have I lacked godly boldness? If I have “been with Jesus” like Peter and John, what happens to me and what do others see, perceive, and recognize from me? In Christ, how do I need to “tell it all” today? 2. [v.14-18] Although the temple leaders see, perceive, and recognize what is right, how do they go about conferring, strategizing, and doing what is wrong (v.17-18)? How have I seen, perceived, and recognized Christ in what is right, yet gone about conferring, strategizing, and doing what is not of Christ? When has Jesus drawn me to be with Him? Yet, how am I living like I am without Him? 3. [v.19-22] Who was Peter and John resolved to listen to rather than the temple leaders (v.19)? Why did they refuse to stop teaching about Jesus (v.20)? Why couldn’t the temple leaders stop them (v.21-22)? Rather than to God, who/what are you listening to? How is this controlling you to continue speaking, thinking, and doing what is wrong, although God has given you signs (like the healed lame man) to listen to what is right before Him? *UPCOMING (*notice some dates may have changed) –
