*NEW YOUTH PASTOR & HEAD OF CHRISTIAN EDUCATION – REV. SOO-YOUNG SONG – Praise be to God for calling His servant to shepherd our Bethany & Hosanna youth students. Pastor Soo-Young Song came to the United States from Korea in 2006 to study intercultural ministry, where she completed the Master of Divinity degree at San Francisco Theological Seminary in 2013. She has served as a youth and young adult spiritual retreat coordinator in the San Francisco-Bay Area for 16 years, and has continued in pastoral ministry to second-generation Korean-American students and international students. Rev. Song has also led Bible studies for college students on the campus of the University of California Davis (UC Davis) and was in charge as a campus ministry coordinator. In 2024, she was ordained into pastoral ministry by the Korean Holiness Church denomination, at its 22nd General Assembly in New Jersey. Pastor Song’s hope is that the kingdom of God will continue to expand through worship, the Word, and fellowship among the saints in Christ’s community, and be continuously used in the work of creating a healthy church. For the past 15 years, Pastor Song has served The Sharing Church (더나누는교회) in Albany, California. She has stepped-out in faith to obey the call to move all the way to Dallas to be with us. Please give her a warm welcome and embrace when you see Pastor Song around our community!

 
*PASTOR & FAMILY BACK FROM BREAK THIS SUNDAY – Pastor & family thanks the Session & congregation for their break Sunday. They are returning tomorrow (5/2) to Dallas, and hope to join the JAMES life group gathering on Saturday. Thank you for your prayers for them.
 
*IMPORTANT CHANGE: SUNDAY WORSHIP START-TIME CHANGING 10 MINUTES EARLIER – 10:30AM BEGINNING NEXT SUNDAY (5/11) ONWARD – Bethany Korean Church leaders have requested that we move our Sunday worship start-time from 10:40am earlier to 10:30am. After weeks of prayer and deliberation, the ordained officers have agreed to this proposal for the purpose of sharing the Chapel with the youth ministry, whose service will now be changed from 10am in the Bethany Chapel to 12pm in the Ezra Chapel (*exact date of time-change for youth service TBA). **This also means our worship must end earlier between 11:35am-11:40am, exciting the Chapel completely by 11:45am for the youth ministry to prepare for their worship service to begin at 12pm. The date of this change (5/11, Sunday) will be our Spring Picnic next Sunday, so this will be a great time to practice the 10:30am start-time. Thank you for your understanding, grace, and support through this change!
 
*THIS SATURDAY (5/3) JAMES families life group, 4:00pm-7:00pm @ Ezra Chapel – The JAMES families will gather to finish their study on Faith, Doubt, and God’s Timing through various Scriptures.
 
*THIS SUNDAY (5/4) STAFF BREAK & GUEST PRAISE TEAM FROM COLLIN COUNTY CHINESE FELLOWSHIP – Minister Samantha will be on break and has graciously connected us to praise team leaders from her home church who will be coming to lead us in praise. Give thanks for their sacrificial service to Hosanna!
 
*THIS SUNDAY (5/4), HONDURAS MISSION TEAM TRAINING, 1:00pm @ Ezra Chapel – The Honduras mission team has a training today. Please pray for them and support them.
 
*THIS SUNDAY’S BREAKOUT DISCUSSION GROUPS – This Sunday, spend some time in your groups and share the life of the preached Word. Pre-read, think through, and share this spiritual food in discussion with one another! “Devote Yourselves to the Fellowship” (ACTS 2:42-47).
 
1. Devotion is about consistent covenant commitment, an unbreakable spiritual pattern set in life that becomes second nature. What did the earliest Christians devote themselves that could not be done in isolation but only in fellowship (v.42)? What am I missing in devotion to the fellowship? How am I dipping into shallow fellowship instead of spiritual fellowship?
 
2. What spiritual fruits appeared when they continued to devote themselves to fellowship in these three areas (v.43-47a)? What are the spiritual fruits that the Holy Spirit is growing in my soul, through my possessions, and with my home and bread I share with my siblings in Christ?
 
3. What did the Lord do day by day in their devotion and bearing of good spiritual fruit (v.47b)? Ultimately, whose role is it to grow the number of those being saved? Then, what is our role?
