*NEW SUNDAY MESSAGE SERIES – “THE CHURCH IN ACTION” – The Gospel According to the Acts of the Apostles – We are continuing in a new season through the book of Acts to visually see the first-century Church in action, refreshing our perspective on what exactly the Church is and does. We will continue our journey this Sunday through part 8 – “Repent and Be Baptized Every One of You” (ACTS 2:37-41). Pre-read and pre-abide with the Lord in this text! *LET’S CELEBRATE! JOHN families life group NEW CO-SHEPHERDS: JONATHAN & NARA JENG! – After many weeks of praying, regathering, and more praying, we thank God for appointing two new lay servants to shepherd our JOHN families – Jonathan & Nara Jeng! *On Easter Sunday (4/20), we will officially consecrate them as appointed lay servants of Hosanna with our full blessing to discharge their blessed new roles as co-shepherds! Join us in this joy and answer from the Lord! *LET’S CELEBRATE! INFANT DEDICATION of ARIA CHAO (Saturday, 4/12)! – We thank God for the opportunity to dedicate little Aria to the Lord and welcome her officially into our covenant family during the joint JAMES + JOHN (JOSHUA families) life group on Saturday (4/12). As we are continuing to do already, let us take our spiritual responsibility and accountability seriously to assist the Chao’s in the spiritual nurture and care of Aria’s life to grow in the knowledge of Christ Jesus as her Savior and Lord! *LAUNCHING THIS MONTH – HOSANNA LORD’S DAY SUNDAY BREAKING BREAD DESSERT MINISTRY! – Every month, Hosanna will be serving desserts for our entire Hosanna & Bethany Church families as a gracious act of unity and love within the wider body of Christ. We also hope our delicious desserts of cookies, donuts, cakes, rice cakes, or fruit will help nurture more flourishing discipleship relationships in after-service breakout discussion groups with an extended time together, kindle deeper discussions around the Word of God, inspire genuine community time with one another, fuel a posture of praying for one another, and increase a love for new faces/visitors we may only see on Sunday’s as a missional body of Christ. Pray for our Deacons as they serve the Lord’s communion table! *NO NEED TO STAND IN LINE – DEACONS WILL SERVE YOU FOOD ON SUNDAY! – Every Sunday, the Deacons will pre-set the lunch on the discussion group tables after-service, so there is no need to stand in line in the gymnasium cafeteria for lunch. We encourage all to go straight to your discussion group tables after-service and enjoy the meal with Spirit-filled discussions around the preached Word! In addition, please enjoy the desserts provided monthly by Hosanna to the entire Hosanna & Bethany Church families! May the living bread Jesus Christ continue to fill us as we commune at His table together. *PERMANENT MOVE TO GYMNASIUM – SUNDAY BREAKOUT DISCUSSION GROUP MINISTRY – We have enjoyed having our Sunday after-service breakout discussion groups held in the gymnasium cafeteria for the past few weeks. The ordained officers have discerned making this move permanent will be a good change and direction for our church-at-large. Continue to support and join us after-service in the gymnasium cafeteria in your breakout discussion group tables, as the Deacons and Elders serve as the table facilitators and also pre-set the table with the designated lunch for you – just make your way to our tables and enjoy! *SUNDAY LORD’S DAY WORSHIP SERVICE END-TIME: HARDSTOP AT 11:50AM & EXIT CHAPEL BY 12PM – Through a decision reached by the ordained officers of Hosanna, we are seeking to make a hard-stop to the end-time of our Sunday service at 11:50am and exit the chapel by 12pm. Further reasons for this will be revealed in the next few weeks. Since we will be on a time crunch, we encourage everyone to come early to Sunday worship service and on-time by 10:40am. Plan your arrival around 10:20am to give yourself plenty of time to get some coffee/tea, greet one another, look over the bulletin/pre-read the Scripture, and prepare your heart in prayer for worship and the Word. *CANDIDATE FOR EASTER Confirmation of Faith: JOY SOHWON CHUNG – As Easter approaches, let us pray for sister Joy as we celebrate and confirm her faith resting in the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ – His initiating grace that began at her baptism from infancy and entrance into His visible Church. May we all see the grace of Christ clearer and brighter through Joy’s affirmation and profession of what God began and will finish through her precious life! *UPDATE: NEW BETHANY KOREAN CHURCH STAFF: Rev. Yong-Ok Hwang – Last Sunday was the final Sunday for Minister Isaac Baik, who faithfully served the Korean worship media ministry for the past five years. A few weeks ago, Rev. Yong-Ok Hwang was called to be the new Pastor of media and sound ministry. Say hello and bless him! A photo of Rev. Hwang is pictured at the bottom of “Our Team” page (https://www.hosannapc.org/our-team.html). *2025 LENT CONTINUES! – The forty days leading-up to Easter, known as the Lenten season, is in full swing. *Today is Day 30 (reading Luke 19-Luke 20) as we follow the Bible Reading Plan (https://www.biblegateway.com/reading-plans/lent) – and every Sunday is as break day from reading. During this holy season leading up to Easter, spend time praying and fasting from a usual routine, leisure, entertainment etc. to spend time reading Scripture, practicing sacrificial giving, and renewing your heart with the sufferings and resurrection of Christ. *THIS SUNDAY (4/6) STAFF GATHERING, 1:15pm @ Corner Conference Room – Our honored staff will gather to prep for Passion week, Good Friday & Easter Sunday events. Pray for and support our honored staff! *PRAISE SONGS for this SUNDAY! – Practice them and be ready to sing them on Sunday morning. Praise on, brothers and sisters! (1) Love of God; (2) Back to Life; (3) From the Inside Out *THIS SUNDAY’S BREAKOUT DISCUSSION QUESTIONS – We thank each of you for participating in this ministry. Let us continue to breakup larger common groups and breakout into smaller groups to discuss the life-giving truths of God’s Word. **Immediately after-Sunday service, seek to exit the Chapel and be in the gymnasium with Your group numbers (written on the inside note-page of your bulletin) by 12:05pm. Sit at your group number table and may the Lord bless our discussions together! *Here is this week’s discussion topic/questions – Pre-read, think through, and share this spiritual food in discussion with one another! “Repent and Be Baptized Every One of You” (ACTS 2:37-41) – The Gospel According to the Acts of the Apostles (part 8). **When they heard Peter’s sermon – how they were responsible for the crucifixion of this Jesus, whom God raised from the dead and made both Lord and Christ over all – what happened to their heart and what did they ask out of a sincere desire to respond (v.37)? If I am truly hearing the Word of God correctly through the Spirit of God, what happens to my heart? When has that happened and what must I do today in view of it? **With the cutting conviction of the Holy Spirit, what does Peter say they must do and who must do it (v.38-39)? What must I turn from and where must I turn to in repentance? As the first step into repentance, have I let Jesus wash me through baptism, forgive me, and gift me with His Spirit? **What other command and warning does Peter give and how many souls responded to it that day (v.40-41)? How is Jesus straightening, realigning, and purifying this crooked generation through me? Is it starting with me? *UPCOMING HAPPIEST BIRTHDAY TO YOU FROM OUR HOSANNA FAMILY! We celebrate you and love you in Christ so much! (*Let us know if we missed your birthday! We sincerely apologize) –
*UPCOMING (*notice some dates may have changed) –
