We are all winners in Christ! Every player’s role was significant and needed! Thank you to all the volleyball players and those who came to cheer, who sacrificially gave their presence and love in Christ to this game and the fellowship!  *3rd ANNIVERSARY & INSTALLATION (9/20), SPECIAL GUEST & GUEST PREACHER – PASTOR PETER PARK, CHASE OAKS CHURCH LEGACY CAMPUS LEAD PASTOR – Hosanna is turning 3 years old next month! Congratulations on God’s faithfulness to Hosanna over these years! Special guest, Pastor Chester’s mother – Deaconess Sun Hae Chung – will be visiting to bless Hosanna with her prayers and financial support. We will have rice cakes for the whole Hosanna & Bethany church families, as well as an anniversary memorial gift for us to keep in prayer this blessed church that our Lord Jesus has founded. *Also, a special guest preacher is graciously coming to give us God’s words of encouragements, Pastor Peter Park. *Affectionately known as the “Asian Spiderman,” Peter Park has over three decades of pastoral experience and has been leading the main legacy campus of Chase Oak Church in Plano, Texas for over 12 years. Originally from southern California, Pastor Peter graduated from UC Irvine with a degree in economics and began working in the field of accounting. He was called by the Lord into pastoral ministry and completed his studies in apologetics and biblical studies at Talbot School of Theology while serving as a Youth Pastor of Korean Westminster Presbyterian Church in Orange County, and as Executive Pastor and Interim Lead Pastor of Newsong Church in Fullerton, California. During college, Pastor Peter’s handsome looks landed him as the token Asian extra for the drama “Days of Our Lives” television program for three years. He loves to eat spaghetti, meatballs, Texas toast, and Dr. Pepper. He is married to his beautiful wife, and together they are now empty-nesters with two daughters in college. *Let’s prepare to celebrate and receive God’s Word through Pastor Peter!  *THIS SATURDAY (8/15) 4:30pm JOINT LIFE GROUP (JAMES + AGAPE families/young adults) – We are joining again! May the real and spiritual presence of Jesus amongst us and around His Table, commune with us and we commune with Christ and one another to be a holy and sure blessing of His grace with a thankful heart! [BACK-TO-SCHOOL BLESSING LORD'S DAY RESURRECTION SUNDAY] The Gospel According to the Acts of the Apostles – THE CHURCH IN ACTION (part 62): Break the Yoke with the Grace that Frees (ACTS 15:6-12) (1.) [v.6-7] Although there had been much debate, how did the apostles and elders not resort to becoming divided? How did they break up the debate with humbly submitting to and listening to God’s voice? *When disagreements and conflicts arise in your family and in the church family, how can we find a solution through openly gathering together around the issue with spiritual maturity, patience, and prayer instead of ignorance, gossip, and division? (2.) [v.8-11] What is the evidence that God has given that demands no distinction be made between how Jews or Gentiles alike are to be saved? Were even the forefathers of the faith successful in being saved by the works of the law? *In what ways are we making unhealthy distinctions and comparisons between ourselves and others? As God cleanses the heart only by one way – by faith – how is the health of your faith? How have you tested God by withholding grace and distinguishing yourself differently than any other sinner saved by His amazing grace? (3.) [v.12] Debates are full of talking and shouting over one another. Yet what happens after God’s voice speaks through Peter? Who did they start listening to? *How have you been too quick to speak and too slow to fall silent and listen to the Lord? How can you step back to listen and observe where God is actively moving, saving His people, and working outside your comfort zone?
