  1. *WELCOME to HOSANNA! – *Warmest welcome to all of you, especially if you are visiting or re-visiting! Please let our Welcoming Team give you our welcoming gift of a t-shirt and beige multi-purpose bag! Fill-out a yellow newcomer’s contact card so that we can keep in touch! We welcome you into this family of Christ’s loving arms and remain here for you as His body to grow and flourish together!
  2. *DISMISSAL of children (kinder to 5th grade) to Children’s Ministry! – At this time, children from kindergarten to 5th grade can head over to Minister Sewon Cho’s children’s ministry – please proceed to the children’s chapel down the hallway to the left! *Preschool worship children should already be in the preschool worship room with Director Rachel, and will continue to begin simultaneously at 10:40am in the preschool worship room.
  3. *IMPORTANT CHANGE: ***TODAY IS LAST DAY WITH THE 10:40AM START-TIME*** SUNDAY WORSHIP START-TIME CHANGING 10 MINUTES EARLIER – 10:30AM BEGINNING NEXT SUNDAY (5/11) ONWARD – Bethany Korean Church leaders have requested that we move our Sunday worship start-time from 10:40am earlier to 10:30am. After weeks of prayer and deliberation, the ordained officers have agreed to this proposal for the purpose of sharing the Chapel with the youth ministry, whose service will now be changed from 10am in the Bethany Chapel to 12pm in the Ezra Chapel (*exact date of time-change for youth service TBA). **This also means our worship must end earlier between 11:35am-11:40am, exciting the Chapel completely by 11:45am for the youth ministry to prepare for their worship service to begin at 12pm. The date of this change (5/11, Sunday) will be our Spring Picnic next Sunday, so this will be a great time to practice the 10:30am start-time. Thank you for your understanding, grace, and support through this change!
  4. *NEW YOUTH PASTOR & HEAD OF CHRISTIAN EDUCATION – REV. SOO-YOUNG SONG – Praise be to God for calling His servant to shepherd our Bethany & Hosanna youth students. Pastor Soo-Young Song came to the United States from Korea in 2006 to study intercultural ministry, where she completed the Master of Divinity degree at San Francisco Theological Seminary in 2013. She has served as a youth and young adult spiritual retreat coordinator in the San Francisco-Bay Area for 16 years, and has continued in pastoral ministry to second-generation Korean-American students and international students. Rev. Song has also led Bible studies for college students on the campus of the University of California Davis (UC Davis) and was in charge as a campus ministry coordinator. In 2024, she was ordained into pastoral ministry by the Korean Holiness Church denomination, at its 22nd General Assembly in New Jersey. Pastor Song’s hope is that the kingdom of God will continue to expand through worship, the Word, and fellowship among the saints in Christ’s community, and be continuously used in the work of creating a healthy church. For the past 15 years, Pastor Song has served The Sharing Church (더나누는교회) in Albany, California. She has stepped-out in faith to obey the call to move all the way to Dallas to be with us. Please give her a warm welcome and embrace when you see Pastor Song around our community!
  5. *TODAY, PASTOR & FAMILY BACK FROM BREAK – Pastor & family thanks the Session & congregation for their break Sunday. They have returned safely to Dallas. Thank you for your prayers for them.
  6. *TODAY, STAFF BREAK & GUEST PRAISE TEAM FROM COLLIN COUNTY CHINESE FELLOWSHIP – Minister Samantha is on break and has graciously connected us to praise team leaders from her home church who are leading us in praise today. Give thanks for their sacrificial service to Hosanna!
  7. *TODAY, HONDURAS MISSION TEAM TRAINING, 1:00pm @ Ezra Chapel – The Honduras mission team has a training today. Please pray for them and support them.
  8. *THIS SATURDAY (5/10) JOHN-AGAPE life group, 4:30pm-7:30pm @ Ezra Chapel – Our new life group will be gathering, shepherded by the Jeng’s. Join us!
  9. *NEXT SUNDAY (5/11) HOSANNA SPRING PICNIC WORSHIP, 10am-2pm (*Worship starts 10:30am) @ Andrew Brown East (260 E Parkway Blvd Coppell, TX 75019) under main pavilion – *Our Sunday worship will be at the Park! Do not come to our Chapel, but head straight to the park, under the main pavilion. Worship starts 10:30am, followed by a delicious picnic lunch, and fellowship/games with prizes for the whole family! This is also Mother’s Appreciation Sunday, and we will have a time to bless all our mothers in prayer for the godly example of Christ’s nurture and care. Hope to see you there!
  10. *KINGDOM EXPANSION PRAYER – This week’s Kingdom expansion prayers will focus on next week’s Spring Picnic Worship and some other items.

Scripture:

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. (1 JOHN 1:7)

Not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. (HEBREWS 10:25)

Prayer (by Pastor Chester):
Heavenly Father, we lift up to You Your precious Hosanna covenant family and the fellowship we share in the light of Your Son. If we walk in the light, as Jesus is in the light, we can have this beautiful fellowship with one another called the Church, with the blood of our Lord Jesus, Your eternal Son, cleansing us from all sin. At next Sunday’s picnic at Andrew Brown Park East, grant us this cleansing fellowship, not only in the light of a sunny day but also in the light of the blood of Your only Son. Strengthen Your servants prepping for this blessed picnic. Flourish our devotion to Your teaching, breaking bread, praying, and fellowship with each other. Help us not neglect meeting together, as is the habit of some, but encourage one another all the more to do so as we see Your great Day of Christ’s return drawing near. We thank You for the fellowship with Bethany Korean community, the answered prayer for bringing Reverend Soo-young Song to shepherd our youth. Thank You for the provision of the servants from Collin County Chinese Fellowship to bless us with their spiritual gifts of praise. Lord, may all the logistics of the new 10:30am worship start-time be adjusted well to make Your Word flourish to both our Hosanna and youth services. Bless the Honduras mission team training today and may Your strengthening joy fill this Saturday’s life group with the Jeng’s shepherdship. May all these fellowships bring us closer to one another and to the light of Your Son, whose blood covers all our sins, through Jesus Christ our light and Lord, Amen & amen.
