  1. *WELCOME to HOSANNA! – *Warmest welcome to all of you, especially if you are visiting or re-visiting! Please let our Welcoming Team give you our welcoming gift of a t-shirt and beige multi-purpose bag! Fill-out a yellow newcomer’s contact card so that we can keep in touch! We welcome you into this family of Christ’s loving arms and remain here for you as His body to grow and flourish together!
  2. *DISMISSAL of children (kinder to 5th grade) to Children’s Ministry! – At this time, children from kindergarten to 5th grade can head over to Minister Sewon Cho’s children’s ministry – please proceed to the children’s chapel down the hallway to the left! *Preschool worship children should already be in the preschool worship room with Director Rachel and assistant Ashley, and will continue to begin simultaneously at 10:40am in the preschool worship room.
  3. *STARTING TODAY (3/2), BREAKOUT DISCUSSION GROUP MINISTRY TEMPORARILY MOVING TO THE GYMNASIUM – Starting today, we will temporarily move our Sunday breakout discussion group ministry into the gymnasium, to see if that will work better for us. We thank each of you for participating in this ministry. Let us continue to breakup larger common groups and breakout into smaller groups to discuss the life-giving truths of God’s Word. **Immediately after-Sunday service, let us seek to exit the Chapel and be in the gymnasium with our group numbers by 12:05pm. Sit at your group number table and may the Lord bless our discussions together.
  4. *THIS SATURDAY-SUNDAY (3/8-9), KITCHEN MINISTRY – JOHN life group is scheduled to lead us in our 9:30am Saturday kitchen prep. AGAPE life group is scheduled to lead us in 12:40pm Sunday dishwashing. Let us serve the LORD with gladness as we prepare the Lord’s table!
  5. *THIS SATURDAY (3/8), JOHN families life group, 4pm-7pm @ Chapel – JOHN families will be gathering for their time of discerning the future together. Pray for this precious Hosanna JOHN families!
  6. *NEXT SUNDAY (3/9), DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME (ONE HOUR FORWARD) – This Sunday, we will be losing one hour due to daylight savings time. Make sure to set your clocks one hour forward on Saturday evening. Let’s honor the Lord’s time by being early to pray for worship service!
  7. *NEXT WEEK – HAVE A SAFE & RESTFUL SPRING BREAK (3/10-14, Mon-Fri)! – Some are already on break or traveling beginning this week. If you are traveling, we pray the Lord will give safe travels and return back to Dallas. Spend some good time with family and with the Lord, outside your regular routine. May His rest always be for restoration to follow and serve Christ more passionately and faithfully!
  8. *CONSIDER MARCH BAPTISM/CONFIRMATION ORIENTATION (3/23, Sunday) – Throughout this month and beginning of March, pray for those considering baptism and confirmation of faith (if infant baptized). We ask for all those being led to faith (little children to adults) or those confirming their faith to consider receiving this sacramental grace from the Lord.
  9. *PRAY FOR APRIL’S LAUNCH OF HOSANNA LORD’S DAY SUNDAY BREAKING BREAD MINISTRY (4/6, Sunday)! – In April, we will attempt to launch our own Sunday breaking of bread ministry coinciding with our breakout discussion group ministry. More details to be shared by the Deacons. Pray that through this ministry, we can nurture more flourishing discipleship relationships after-service with an extended time together, kindle deeper discussions around the Word of God, inspire genuine community time with one another, fuel a posture of praying for one another, and increase a love for new faces/visitors we may only see on Sunday’s as a missional body of Christ.
  10. *KINGDOM EXPANSION PRAYER – This week’s Kingdom expansion prayers will focus on future Hosanna spiritual leaders, shepherds, and ordained officers – Elders and Deacons.

Scripture:

And when they had appointed elders for them in every church, with prayer and fasting they committed them to the Lord in whom they had believed. (ACTS 14:23)

Shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you; not for shameful gain, but eagerly; not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock. And when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory. (1 PETER 5:2-4)

Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. (HEBREWS 13:20-21)

Prayer (by Pastor Chester):
Heavenly Father, we lift up to You our future spiritual leaders of Hosanna – shepherds, servants, lay leaders, and future ordained officers – elders and deacons and ministers to lead Your Church. Father, flow unto us a steady stream of godly Spirit-empowered leaders who follow Jesus Christ faithfully, who are above reproach in all areas of life before You, and who lean on Your covenant to fulfill their spiritual responsibilities with joy and passion. Just as Paul and Barnabas appointed elders in every church in Derbe and Lystra, with prayer and fasting they just too commit our current Elders and future Elders to You. In this next year, appoint Your new elders to complete our Session, to guide and govern Your Church well with integrity, gentleness, wisdom, and compassion. Raise also more Deacons, lay leaders, and shepherds of Your flock. Holy Spirit, You call us all to grow into the progression of servanthood – from spiritual infancy, to adolescence, to adulthood, and into elderhood. Let us all grow to be Deacons – ordained or unordained – exercising oversight over spiritual infants, not under compulsion, but willingly, not for shameful gain but eagerly, not domineering over those in our charge but being examples to the congregation. And when You, Lord Jesus, our Chief Shepherd appears, we will receive the unfading crown of glory. Father, You have brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of Your eternal covenant that has equipped us fully with everything good to do Your will. So work within us that which is pleasing in the sight of Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever, in the name of Jesus our Chief Shepherd and Lead Servant of Hosanna Church, amen & amen.
