  1. *WELCOME to HOSANNA! – *Warmest welcome to all of you, especially if you are visiting or re-visiting! Please let our Welcoming Team give you our welcoming gift of a t-shirt and beige multi-purpose bag! Fill-out a yellow newcomer’s contact card so that we can keep in touch! We welcome you into this family of Christ’s loving arms and remain here for you as His body to grow and flourish together!
  2. *DISMISSAL of children (kinder to 5th grade) to Children’s Ministry! – At this time, children from kindergarten to 5th grade can head over to Minister Sewon Cho’s children’s ministry – please proceed to the children’s chapel down the hallway to the left! *Preschool worship children should already be in the preschool worship room with Director Rachel and assistant Ashley, and will continue to begin simultaneously at 10:40am in the preschool worship room.
  3. *10/10-12 (Fri-Sun) *HOSANNA FALL RETREAT SIGN-UP! – The Deacons are prepping for accommodations and scheduling for our exciting retreat this year during Columbus Day holiday weekend! *For that week, Sunday morning LORD’s Day worship will be held at the retreat location. **We encourage the whole church and whole family to set aside time for this special time of worship and fellowship together as Hosanna! – Let Deacon Chong ([email protected]) know BY END-OF-FEBRUARY – LAST SUNDAY (2/23) if you are attending (full or partial-time) to secure the proper facilities, food, and lodging. Thank you!
  4. *TODAY continuing after-service, BREAKOUT DISCUSSION GROUPS – It is amazing how we can go through Sunday without ever talking to anyone other than our immediate family or familiar friends. We want to breakout and breakup this in order to challenge and reach across life stages, ages and new faces around the Word of God, inviting Christ to grow unity and discipleship relationships beyond our sphere of relationships. We encourage you all to take some time after-benediction with your group #’s to grow in discussing and giving life from His Word to one another!
  5. *THIS FRIDAY (2/14), AGAPE young adults Life Group, 6:30pm – We will be progressing through the 3rd session in our study of Psalm 119. Join us! See Elder Patrick for details.
  6. *THIS SATURDAY (2/15), JAMES adults & families Life Group, 4pm-7pm @ Ezra Chapel – We will be progressing through our study on God’s Mysterious Timing from various Scriptures. Join us! See Deacon Chong for details.
  7. *NEXT SUNDAY (2/16), STAFF GATHERING, 1:15pm @ Corner Conference Room – Our honored staff will gather for their monthly prayer, fellowship, debriefing. Pray for our honored staff members!
  8. *CONSIDER MARCH BAPTISM/CONFIRMATION ORIENTATION (3/23, Sunday) – Throughout this month and beginning of March, pray for those considering baptism and confirmation of faith (if infant baptized). We ask all those being led to faith (little children and adults), already possessing professing faith, or those confirming their faith before the Lord to consider receiving this sacramental grace from the Lord.
  9. *PRAY FOR APRIL’S LAUNCH OF HOSANNA LORD’S DAY SUNDAY BREAKING BREAD MINISTRY (4/6, Sunday)! – In April, we will attempt to launch our own Sunday breaking of bread ministry coinciding with our breakout discussion group ministry in Ezra Chapel immediately after-service. More details to be shared by the Deacons. Pray that through this ministry, we can nurture more flourishing discipleship relationships after-service with an extended time together, kindle deeper discussions around the Word of God, inspire genuine community time with one another, fuel a posture of praying for one another, and increase a love for new faces/visitors we may only see on Sunday’s as a missional body of Christ.
  10. *KINGDOM EXPANSION PRAYER – This week’s Kingdom expansion prayers will focus on the Lord’s Day Breakout Discussion Groups Ministry.

Scripture:

And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. (ACTS 2:42)

That very day two of them were going to a village named Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem, and they were talking with each other about all these things that had happened. While they were talking and discussing together, Jesus himself drew near and went with them. (LUKE 24:13-15)

Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. (GALATIANS 6:2)

Prayer (by Pastor Chester):
Heavenly Father, we lift up to You the Lord’s Day Breakout Discussion Groups Ministry. Father, You’ve commanded us to let the words of Christ dwell in us richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with a thankful heart to You. We are well aware, Lord, that can’t just happen in a formal service, but must overflow into fellowship, discussion, the sharing of bread with one another. Let this richness of Your Word dwell upon Hosanna through this ministry. Break us out and break us up to interact with new faces, across life stages, across genders, to be Your body that equips and edifies one another to love You with all our hearts, souls, minds, and strength. As we devote ourselves to Your teaching in this discussion time, use the fellowship and breaking of bread and prayers to grow new discipleship relationships, kindle deeper renewal of mind, and increase love for this Church, for new faces/visitors we bring and You bring to us, and fuel a posture of praying for one another with the deep affection, care, and compassion of Christ. Use the breaking bread ministry to nourish it. Use the Deacons, Elders, and lay leaders to nurture it. Do not let a single soul who walks into this house of Yours leave without life-giving words and embrace from Your Son. In so doing, would You receive the glory and increase Your glory in this house, as we become Your hands and feet for Your flock and lost sheep. May we bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Your Son. Help us to bear them and not break off from them, for we are fulfilling Christ’s law – to love one another as He has loved us. Through Jesus Christ our Lord who drew near while the Emmaus disciples discussed with each other, amen & amen.
