  1. *WELCOME to HOSANNA! – *Warmest welcome to all of you, especially if you are visiting or re-visiting! Please let our Welcoming Team give you our welcoming gift of a t-shirt and beige multi-purpose bag! Fill-out a yellow newcomer’s contact card so that we can keep in touch! We welcome you into this family of Christ’s loving arms and remain here for you as His body to grow and flourish together!
  2. *DISMISSAL of children (kinder to 5th grade) to Children’s Ministry! – At this time, children from kindergarten to 5th grade can head over to Minister Sewon Cho’s children’s ministry – please proceed to the children’s chapel down the hallway to the left! *Preschool worship children should already be in the preschool worship room with Director Rachel and assistant Ashley, and will continue to begin simultaneously at 10:40am in the preschool worship room.
  3. *10/10-12 (Fri-Sun) *HOSANNA FALL RETREAT ATTENDANCE – INFORM BY NEXT SUNDAY (2/23)!! – The Deacons are prepping for accommodations and scheduling for our exciting retreat this year during Columbus Day holiday weekend! *For that week, Sunday morning LORD’s Day worship (10/12) will be held at the retreat location. **We encourage the whole church and whole family to set aside time for this special time of worship and fellowship together as Hosanna! – Let Deacon Chong ([email protected]) know BY END-OF-FEBRUARY – NEXT SUNDAY (2/23) if you are attending (full or partial-time) to secure the proper facilities, food, and lodging. Thank you!
  4. *STARTING MARCH [3/2 (Sun)] BREAKOUT DISCUSSION GROUP MINISTRY TEMPORARILY MOVING TO THE GYMNASIUM – Starting the first Sunday of March, we will temporarily move our Sunday breakout discussion group ministry into the gymnasium, to see if that will work better for us. We thank each of you for participating in this ministry. Let us continue to breakup larger common groups and breakout into smaller groups to discuss the life-giving truths of God’s Word. **Immediately after-Sunday service, let us seek to exit the Chapel and be in the gymnasium with our group numbers by 12:05pm.
  5. *THIS SATURDAY (2/22), JOHN adults & families Life Group, 4pm-7pm @ Ezra Chapel – The JOHN families will be gathering after their period of prayer. With the many changes in the life group, please pray for them!
  6. *NEXT SUNDAY (2/23), SESSION/ELDER BOARD GATHERING, 1:15pm @ Corner Conference Room – Our Elders will gather for their monthly time in prayer and discerning the direction of the church. Please pray for our Session!
  7. *CONSIDER MARCH BAPTISM/CONFIRMATION ORIENTATION (3/23, Sunday) – Throughout this month and beginning of March, pray for those considering baptism and confirmation of faith (if infant baptized). We ask all those being led to faith (little children and adults), already possessing professing faith, or those confirming their faith before the Lord to consider receiving this sacramental grace from the Lord.
  8. *PRAY FOR APRIL’S LAUNCH OF HOSANNA LORD’S DAY SUNDAY BREAKING BREAD MINISTRY (4/6, Sunday)! – In April, we will attempt to launch our own Sunday breaking of bread ministry coinciding with our breakout discussion group ministry in Ezra Chapel immediately after-service. More details to be shared by the Deacons. Pray that through this ministry, we can nurture more flourishing discipleship relationships after-service with an extended time together, kindle deeper discussions around the Word of God, inspire genuine community time with one another, fuel a posture of praying for one another, and increase a love for new faces/visitors we may only see on Sunday’s as a missional body of Christ.
  9. *KINGDOM EXPANSION PRAYER – This week’s Kingdom expansion prayers will focus on the spiritual health and unity of Hosanna Church.

Scripture:

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. (JOHN 15:4)

So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit. (EPHESIANS 2:19-22)

Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind. (1 PETER 3:8)

Prayer (by Pastor Chester):
Heavenly Father, we lift up to You the spiritual health and unity of Your beloved Hosanna Church. Lord, You have seen this wilderness season we have been passing through. You have been with us in both the joys and sorrows, for You give and take away in accord with Your sovereign plan and for the health of Your Church and Your Kingdom. You are the vine. We are the branches. Lord, help us abide in You, and You in us, as the branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it abides in the vine. More than just believing, let us be dwelling and living and remaining and settling – truly abiding in You and Your Words. For when we do, we know we will be healthy as Your Church – no longer strangers and aliens, but fellow citizens and saints and members of Your household. Build us on the foundation of Your apostles and prophets. Christ Jesus, be our cornerstone, where the whole structure of Hosanna is joined together. Grow us into Your holy temple, a dwelling place for You and Your Spirit. Lord, let us be Your dwelling for all Your lost sheep to come home and find shelter, food, and family. We thank You for choosing us for this high calling and honored privilege to be a part of Your Kingdom work at Hosanna. Make us one, as You are one, that all may have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly and sisterly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind. Let us all agree with each other, that there be no divisions, but same mind and same judgment, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace, for how sweet and good and pleasant is it with brothers and sisters in Christ dwell in unity! As we are many members, we are still one body in Your Son. Help us comfort, restore, and live in peace with each other through this union we have, through the head of the body and Chief Shepherd of the Church Jesus Christ we pray, amen & amen.
