1/19/2025 Sunday Announcements

1. *WELCOME to HOSANNA! – *Warmest welcome to all of you, especially if you are visiting or re-visiting! Please let our Welcoming Team give you our welcoming gift of a t-shirt and beige multi-purpose bag! Fill-out a yellow newcomer’s contact card so that we can keep in touch! We welcome you into this family of Christ’s loving arms and remain here for you as His body to grow and flourish together!
2. *DISMISSAL of children (kinder to 5th grade) to Children’s Ministry! – At this time, children from kindergarten to 5th grade can head over to Minister Sewon Cho’s children’s ministry – please proceed to the children’s chapel down the hallway to the left! *Preschool worship children should already be in the preschool worship room with Director Rachel and assistant Ashley, and will continue to begin simultaneously at 10:40am in the preschool worship room.
3. *TODAY, BAPTISM ORIENTATION, 12:15pm @ Corner Conference Room – A new season of those ready or inquiring about baptism or confirmation of faith (if infant baptized) will begin with a brief orientation today after breakout discussion groups, 12:15pm, at the Corner Conference Room. Let us pray for all those who are being led to faith as well as confirming their faith in Christ! See our Pastor for more interest and more details.
4. *2024 GIVING STATEMENT REQUEST – Sign-up for your 2024 Giving Statement in the office during the full month of January for your tax-filing purposes. See Elder Heather Lee for details.
5. *TODAY (1/19): TABLES/CHAIRS CLEANUP in GYM CAFETERIA after-lunch – *JAMES families life group is scheduled to lead us for today’s tables/chairs cleanup after-lunch, starting around 1:15pm. Consider supporting and helping them in this labor of Christ’s love! *JAMES families life group will also setup this Saturday (1/25), and AGAPE will cleanup next Sunday (1/26).
6. **ERROR IN THE BULLETIN** THIS FRIDAY (1/24) **BREAK WEEK** AGAPE young adults life group – Thank you for gathering this past Friday! Meetings will be every other Friday (every two weeks) – with the next one being Friday, 1/31, led by Elder Patrick. Join us!
7. *KINGDOM EXPANSION PRAYER – This week’s Kingdom expansion prayers will focus on new covenant partners and new family coming to Hosanna into 2025.

 
Scripture:
 
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” (JOHN 13:34-35)
 
For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit. (1 CORINTHIANS 12:12-13)
 
For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. (ROMANS 12:4-5)

Prayer (by Pastor Chester):
Father God, we thank You for all the new covenant partners You brought to us in 2024, and the most recent families and beloved souls – the Park’s and the Chao’s and brother Eric – to join us on Your ark of the covenant, and sail out to build Your Kingdom through this local bride of Yours – Hosanna Church. Father, we thank You ahead of time for all the new souls and families You will bring, who need to be loved and learn to love like Your Son has loved us, for that is all You mean by asking of our covenant partnership – to not just be spectators, but active participants in covenant with one another. Help us to obey Your new command – to love one another, just as You, Lord Jesus, have loved us, we are to love one another the same way, denying ourselves with the love of the cross for the sake of others. By this love, all people in north Dallas will know we are Your disciples! By our covenant love for You through each other, all people will know we are Your body, although with many members and functions, we are one body in Christ Your eternal Son, and we all baptized into one body of His beloved Church, Jews or Greeks, slaves or free – we all drink from the one Spirit. Remind us again and again we are not individuals before You, but individually members of each other. We pray for You to strengthen our covenant partnership with You beloved Hosanna Church. Strengthen our covenant partnership with each other – may those who have yet to do so, step into covenant with Hosanna. Add unto Hosanna those souls who need Your love through us, for the glory You will receive through Hosanna, in Jesus Christ the Head of the Church we pray, amen & amen.
