11/10/2024 Sunday Announcements

1. *WELCOME to HOSANNA! – *Warmest welcome to all of you, especially if you are visiting or re-visiting! Please let our Welcoming Team give you our welcoming gift of a t-shirt and beige multi-purpose bag! Fill-out a yellow newcomer’s contact card so that we can keep in touch! We welcome you into this family of Christ’s loving arms and remain here for you as His body to grow and flourish together!
2. *DISMISSAL (children (kinder to 5th grade) to Children’s Chapel with Minister Sunny! – At this time, children from kindergarten to 5th grade can head over to Pastor Sunny’s children’s ministry – please proceed to the children’s chapel down the hallway to the left! *Preschool worship children should already be in the preschool worship room with Director Rachel and assistant Ashley, and will continue to begin simultaneously at 10:40am in the preschool worship room.
3. *THANKSGIVING POTLUCK FELLOWSHIP sign-up! – Our Thanksgiving Potluck is fast-approaching on Saturday (11/30), 6:00pm, in Ezra Chapel and foyer hallway. We’ll be having sign-ups for potluck items so we do not double or triple the same items! See Deacon Gloria Gee and Deacon Chong Choe to sign-up for your potluck item. Let’s have a joyful and blessed feast together, giving thanks to the LORD for one another!
4. *BAPTISM/CONFIRMATION of faith – If you or your child is in need of baptism or confirmation of faith (for those who have been baptized in infancy/early childhood), see Pastor Chester. We encourage the baptism of children and confirmation for those baptized as children who have not had opportunity to profess their faith in Christ.
5. *TODAY – (1) BREAKOUT DISCUSSION GROUP continue after-service! – Look at the number at the bottom of the message note page, and gather after-service with your same number. Let us share the life of God’s Word with each other!; (2) KITCHEN MINISTRY – 12:40pm dishwashing help needed; (3) DEACON ORIENTATION, 1:15pm @ Corner Conference Room – a final orientation to ordained office focusing on the practical aspects of the office.
6. *THIS FRIDAY (11/15) AGAPE Life Group, 6:30pm @ dinner location TBA, 7:30pm discussion @ Corner Conference Room – The young adult AGAPE life group will be gathering for a meal and a time to share life around “The Letter to the Philippians” led by Elder Patrick Liu.
7. *THIS SATURDAY (11/16) – JOSHUA family ministry (JAMES & JOHN life groups) FEAST & PICNIC, 3:00pm – 5:00pm @ Windhaven Meadows Park, Plano – The JOSHUA families will gather for a final fellowship this year.
8. *NEXT SUNDAY (11/17) – (1) STAFF MEETING, 1:15pm @ Corner Conference Room; (2) PRAISE & MEDIA TEAM fellowship dinner (get to know one another), 4:30pm @ Manna Shabu Lewisville.
9. *KINGDOM EXPANSION PRAYER – This week’s Kingdom Expansion Prayer will focus on our sister Kristen Lee, who we are commissioning and sending-off today to God’s calling upon her next season with Northway Church of Dallas.

 
Scripture:
 
I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. (JOHN 17:15-18)
