*WELCOME to HOSANNA & HAPPY 2026 NEW YEAR’S 1st LORD’S DAY! – *We hope you had a Christ-exalting Christmas and happy final Sunday of 2025! Warmest welcome to all of you, especially if you are visiting or re-visiting! Please let our Welcoming Team give you our welcoming gift! Fill-out a yellow newcomer’s contact card so that we can keep in touch! We welcome you into this family of Christ’s loving arms and remain here for you as His body to grow and flourish together!
 
*DISMISSAL of children (kinder to 5th grade) to Children’s Ministry and Youth Group to Bible study + Lunch! – At this time, children from kindergarten to 5th grade can head over to Minister Sewon Cho’s children’s ministry – please proceed to the children’s chapel down the hallway to the left! And youth group can head to your Bible study and lunch hour with Rev. Suyoung Song. *Preschool worship children should already be in the preschool worship room with Director Rachel, and will continue to begin simultaneously at 10:30am in the preschool worship room.
 
*TODAY – SUNDAY (1/4) – DESSERT MINISTRY during lunch - The Chung family has provided two large cakes to celebrate their daughter Joy's 9th birthday today, as well as all the January birthday celebrations - Ashley Chung (1/18), Justin Chao (1/18), Director Trey Reynolds (1/18), Elder Heather Lee (1/22). Enjoy!
 
*UPCOMING – THIS SATURDAY (1/10) - 9:30am KITCHEN FOOD PREP & Sunday 12:40pm DISHWASH MINISTRY - *Let's continue helping to prep our Sunday breaking of bread ministry with the Bethany Korean kitchen team, who serve us sacrificially every week with lunch. It's a small way we can express our thanks and give back. If you've enjoyed the lunches, let's keep serving in this way to bless the Lord's ministry! *Inform the Deacons if you are willing to serve either this Saturday morning or Sunday dishwashing ministry.
 
*UPCOMING – THIS SATURDAY (1/10) - 4:30pm AGAPE young adults & families gathering - *1st life group of 2026 continues our time in the letter to the Ephesians. Join us!

*UPCOMING in FEBRUARY 2/8/2026 (Sunday) & 2/13/2026 (Friday) – JOINT BETHANY YOUTH + HOSANNA GREAT COMMISSION FOCUS WEEK – Next month, missionaries James & Faith Cha will be visiting us for a special time of teaching on world missions. There are two copies of Pastor James' book in the office, "Fear Not: Living a Life of No Regrets” which details his missional calling and experience on the mission field with biblical wisdom and pastoral insight. Throughout this month, please feel free to borrow a copy and read the book to prepare for his arrival. *We are so joyful to partner with our Bethany youth for this joint endeavor of blessing! More info TBA.
 
*KINGDOM EXPANSION PRAYER – This week’s Kingdom expansion prayers will focus on thanksgiving for Mya Krief’s baptism & 2026 Ministry Year
 
Scripture:
 
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. (2 CORINTHIANS 5:17)
 
And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” (REVELATION 21:5)
 
But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. (ISAIAH 40:31)
 
Prayer (by Pastor Chester):
Heavenly Father, we lift up to You this very first Sunday of 2026 and all the rest of the 51 Lord’s Day’s remaining. You are so faithful to give us another year, more time, to be wholly transformed as a new creation in Your only Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. The old has passed away. Let us behold the new that is coming for us in 2026. Already, You have shown us the new life you are birthed in Your daughter Mya with the washing of the Holy Spirit in baptism. We are truly witnesses of Your hand and deep love resting upon her life. Through the waters of her baptism, as Mya has joined into the covenant family of the Lord’s Church, help us be faithful to our new sister in guiding her, staying spiritually accountable to her, and ensuring that she continues to grow in loving Jesus with all her heart, mind, soul, and strength. May her baptism reminds us of our washing in Your Spirit, and weigh it heavy in our hearts to know this new sister is now grafted into Christ’s body. Behold, You who are seated on the throne are making all things new for Mya and for all of us who are in Christ Jesus, because Your words are trustworthy and true. Whatever awaits us in 2026, keep us waiting for You, renewing our strength in You, and mounting up with wings like eagles to soar and run to You without growing wearing or faint. Today, bless our dessert ministry with sister Joy’s birthday and all the January birthdays. Bless Johann’s birthday this Thursday. Bless our kitchen ministry this Saturday morning and Sunday’s dishwash ministry. Bless our 1st AGAPE gathering for 2026 this Saturday. May all these be to the praise of Your glorious grace into 2026 and beyond, in the risen Lord and King Jesus Christ’s name we pray, Amen & amen.
