(LUKE 2:6-7) And behold, the star that they had seen when it rose went before them until it came to rest over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. And going into the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. (MATTHEW 2:9-11) And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. (LUKE 2:10-11) Prayer (by Pastor Chester): Heavenly Father, we lift up to You this 3rd week of holy Advent on the eve of Christmas Lord’s Day next Sunday. We eagerly wait to celebrate Your eternal Son’s first arrival and hope in His second coming, with exceeding and great joy, just as the wise men of the east did when they saw the star rise and go before them to rest over the place where the child Jesus was. We fall down to worship Christ Jesus as Lord again, offering our treasures and our lives to our humble newborn King, who was conceived by the holy Spirit in the womb of virgin Mary, as her firstborn son and wrapped in swaddling cloths to be laid where no King should be laid – in a manger for animal food, because there was no place in the inn. Yet find us, O Lord, to give you the highest place, the central place, the dwelling place of our lives as we fall down before Your manger. We worship with the angelic hosts, who told us not to fear, who brought us the good news of great joy that is for all the people, that unto us is born in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ Jesus the Lord! May that great joy of our newborn Lord be with us today in breakout discussion groups after-service, to our humble dishwashers as they serve, to our baptism orientation with sister Mya, to the great joy of our birthdays tomorrow for Kate and Minster Chao, and Jason on Tuesday, to our Christmas fellowship and gift exchange on Saturday, to next Sunday’s blessed Christmas Worship, advent candlelighting, youth & children’s Christmas presentations – may the joy of Christ Jesus our newborn King and Lord rest among us and fill us to overflow for the only true reason for this season, in the resurrected name of our humble King Jesus from the manger, to the cross, to the tomb, and back to the right hand of the Father in heaven, and to come again in glory, Amen & Amen.

(ISAIAH 9:6) Prayer (by Pastor Chester): Heavenly Father, we lift up to You this advent season of the arrival of Your Son, our newborn King Jesus Christ, inviting Him as Lord over all of our lives. We stand in awe and amazement at Your sign of this through the prophet Isaiah 700 years prior to the birth of Christ. You are a promise-keeping God, to be hold the virgin conceive by the holy Spirit, to bear the Immanuel newborn King. Because Christ and the Spirit has come into the world, we know You as the God with us, the God who became flesh and dwelt among us. We have seen Your glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. Although all earthly governmental authorities were against Him, You gave Him the Name above every name, that at the name of Jesus we can know You, through the Spirit, as our Wonderful Counselor, mighty God, everlasting Father, Prince of peace. (PSALM 107:1) Prayer (by Pastor Chester): Heavenly Father, we give thanks to You, for Your ways alone are good, for Your steadfast love endures forever for us in Your only Son our Lord Jesus Christ. By the power of the holy Spirit, we understand this, feel this, and live this out this Thanksgiving season. Make this Thanksgiving so much more than turkeys or family gatherings, nor worldly reasons to count what to be thankful for. Instead, lift our eyes upon You, whom all blessings flow and thanks should be given. You alone are the reason to be thankful in all circumstances, for this is Your will for us in Christ Jesus. With this, You are the ultimate reason for this season. You gave us this gift of giving thanks as the power to turn any circumstance on its head, and to find the delight of yet praising You, worshipping Christ no matter what enters our lives, teaching us the power to rejoice in You that becomes our strength. Strengthen us by the transformational joy You will show us in Philippians 1:1-11 today through Your servant Minister Chao. We thank You for calling her to Yourself, bringing her family to Hosanna, and equipping her with all the gifts to bring glory to You. Holy Spirit, preach Your Word through her to us. Free your Saturday this upcoming week on 11/22, starting 3:00pm, as we meet in the kitchen to prep this side dish to complement the beautiful Turkey lunch! It’s potato-mashing time! Let us prepare our hearts to give a great thanks to our God for all He has done and will continue to do in our lives, our precious church, and beyond! *KINGDOM EXPANSION PRAYER – This week’s Kingdom expansion prayers will focus on Mashed Potatoes Prep Ministry, Thanksgiving Worship & Communion, Planning of 2026-’27 Ministry Year Scripture: For who is the greater, one who reclines at table or one who serves? Is it not the one who reclines at table? But I am among you as the one who serves. (LUKE 22:27) Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (1 THESSALONIANS 5:16-18) Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”— yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.” (JAMES 4:13-15) Prayer (by Pastor Chester): Heavenly Father, we lift up to You these final months of 2025. Fill our hearts again and again this November with the power of giving thanks to You alone, not resting on reasons for thankfulness rooted in this world, but the gift of Christ that makes us thankful in all circumstances, no matter what has happened or how our hearts feel. Be the sole reason for this season to be thanks, for it is good for our soul that can transform our sorrows into Your joys, our pains into Your healing, our trials into Your deliverance, our needs into Your provisions. We remember again the words of our Lord Jesus, how we are not called to be served, but to serve. For who is greater, the one who reclines at table or one who serves? From the world’s perspective, is it not the one who reclines at table who calls for the table-servers that is greater? Yet You, Lord Jesus, are among us as the one who serves tables, not reclines at them. Help us get up off our reclining chairs, and serve Your people with a thankful heart this Saturday in our mashed potatoes prep ministry. Help our congregants bring sacrificial hands to bless our Bethany kitchen leaders for the beautiful Thanksgiving Sunday meal. Bless next Sunday’s all-congregation Thanksgiving Worship and Communion with the preaching of Your Word from Minister Chao, our children’s crafts and presentations, our testimonies of thanks to You, and our sacred time of communion in the presence of Jesus’ body and cup of the new covenant. And as we look to the 2026-2027 ministry year, let us not say, “we will go to do this and spend that and make that” – for we do not know what tomorrow will bring. We are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead, help us to plan by saying, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this and do that.” Through the one who keeps us rejoicing always, praying unceasingly, and giving thanks in all circumstances, for His goodness alone and love endures forever in our resurrected Lord Jesus Christ’s name we pray and give heartfelt thanks, Amen & amen. *WELCOME to HOSANNA! – *Warmest welcome to all of you, especially if you are visiting or re-visiting! Scripture: But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” (MATTHEW 19:14) Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith. (HEBREWS 13:7) A dispute also arose among them, as to which of them was to be regarded as the greatest. And he said to them, “The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them, and those in authority over them are called benefactors. But not so with you. Rather, let the greatest among you become as the youngest, and the leader as one who serves. For who is the greater, one who reclines at table or one who serves? Is it not the one who reclines at table? But I am among you as the one who serves. (LUKE 22:24-27) Prayer (by Pastor Chester): Heavenly Father, we lift up to You all the children across the world who will be touched by the gift of Your only Son through the gift of a shoebox we have filled with Your love and provisions. For Your desire has always been to draw to Yourself the little children – to let the little children come and not hinder them, for to such belongs the Kingdom of God. Through these gifts, remind the children of the Giver of these gifts, to come to Jesus in however which way they may know and understand in the mystery of how Your grace is revealed unto them and their level of conscious receptivity, that Your grace may go forth and touch them through this provision. We lift up our honored Staff – Director Rachel, Director Trey, Minister Chao, Pastor Chester – keep them in good health and we remember them as they speak the word of God to us, considering the outcome of their way of life. Let our staff be those whose faith can be imitated because they possess the heart of Christ. Bless our upcoming birthdays, beloved Mrs. Hanna Park, Joseph Ko, and little Emma Jeng – for another year to grow in advancing Your Kingdom wherever You send them. And let the greatest among us become the youngest, and the leader as one who serves. For according to Your eyes, the greatest is not the one who reclines at table, but the one who serves tables. So we serve this month of November the tables/chairs ministry. With our small sacrifice, receive this labor of Your love in us. Likewise, raise up our James life group families as servants of God who are among us as those who serve, as they continue to follow their suffering servant Jesus Christ. In His resurrected name, Christ Jesus our Lord and Chief Shepherd of Hosanna we pray, amen & amen. *WELCOME to HOSANNA! – *Warmest welcome to all of you, especially if you are visiting or re-visiting! Send me.” (ISAIAH 6:8) Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?” (JOHN 11:25-26) He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. (1 PETER 2:24) Prayer (by Pastor Chester): Heavenly Father, we lift up to You a heart that gives thanks, for You alone are good, and Your steadfast love endures forever. With You, no circumstance can keep us from thanking You and rejoicing in You always. So we give You thanks with a grateful heart, for what You have done in completing the pastoral ordination journey of Your servant, Minister Will Zhao. Thank You for giving our Pastor an opportunity to spiritually invest and mentor his time, and finishing the journey with him. Make Minister Zhao the servant like Isaiah, who said, “Here I am, Lord, send me!” May great ministry await him and great glory be given to You through Minister Zhao’s pastoral life. Thank You for giving us the opportunity to pray for and meet him. Father God, we also thank You for giving us the honor to know and meet the late Deacon Tae-Kwon Lee. We thank You for His godly example and life as an offering to You and legacy of Christ to us. May we never forget His servant’s heart in the background washing dishes, mopping floors, cleaning tables. May we relive the servant heart of Jesus we saw through him. Receive Your servant, Deacon Tae-Kwon Lee, into Your everlasting arms, and wipe away every tear from his two children and widowed wife, that You may restore the joy of their salvation that will be joined to his with You at the last day. Though we die, we shall live, all who believe and live shall never die, as You promised. So also Your life remains for sister Jihoon. Get her up and walking in fuller strength. Put back together her ankle, joints, and foot. Bring Jihoon and Elena back to us safely., For by Your wounds, we are all healed with the body that bore our sins on that tree. In the Name of the our Lead Servant, Resurrection, and Healer, Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, Amen & amen. *WELCOME to HOSANNA! – *Warmest welcome to all of you, especially if you are visiting or re-visiting! Scripture: Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, then comes the harvest’? Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest. (JOHN 4:35) The Lord said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him, “Lift up your eyes and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward, for all the land that you see I will give to you and to your offspring forever. (GENESIS 13:14-15) I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. (PSALM 121:1-4) Prayer (by Pastor Chester): Heavenly Father, we give thanks to You for granting us our very first retreat as a Hosanna Church family. Thank You for each one You have called, who made space for this sacred time, to retreat away from our daily tasks, our daily routines, to break free from our daily schedules, so that Your Spirit might make us one to be together and to seek Your face through Your Word. Lord Jesus, thank You for providing Reverend Brian Hsieh to preach to us Your message, illuminating our minds with the holy Spirit’s urging to look at You, repent before You, to exercise our servanthood with You, and to remember Your call upon our lives to follow after You. Whether we were there in body physically or in spirit prayerfully, heavenly Father, keep our eyes lifted to You and off of ourselves this third year of life as Hosanna Church under the leadership of our new ordained Elders and Deacons. The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are so few. So send us all, Lord, as Hosanna, into Your harvest field. Help us see now Your fields are white for harvest. Like You promised to Abram and likewise to us, lift up our eyes to look from where we are, to look and see the Kingdom where You long to give to us now and into eternity, that Kingdom coming upon this land in Carrollton and north Dallas and out to the nations. You have given this land of Your lost souls and precious sheep to be gathered into Your Church. You have given it to us and to our offspring after us forever. We do not lift up our eyes to the hills, but to You, O LORD the Creator of every hill, our Helper and Redeemer, who made heaven and earth. You will not let our foot be moved! You who keeps us will neither slumber nor sleep. Through the Lifter-Up of our eyes and souls, our Lord Jesus Christ’s Name, in this powerful new season of harvest for Your Hosanna Church we pray, Amen & amen. *WELCOME to HOSANNA! – *Warmest welcome to all of you, especially if you are visiting or re-visiting! The Scripture is from John 21:1-13. I will read verse 1-3. You will read verse 4-8. We will read together verse 9-13. 1 After this Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias, and he revealed himself in this way. 2 Simon Peter, Thomas (called the Twin), Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples were together. 3 Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.” They said to him, “We will go with you.” They went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing. 4 Just as day was breaking, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. 5 Jesus said to them, “Children, do you have any fish?” They answered him, “No.” 6 He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast it, and now they were not able to haul it in, because of the quantity of fish. 7 That disciple whom Jesus loved therefore said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment, for he was stripped for work, and threw himself into the sea. 8 The other disciples came in the boat, dragging the net full of fish, for they were not far from the land, but about a hundred yards off. 9 When they got out on land, they saw a charcoal fire in place, with fish laid out on it, and bread. 10 Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish that you have just caught.” 11 So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish, 153 of them. And although there were so many, the net was not torn. 12 Jesus said to them, “Come and have breakfast.” Now none of the disciples dared ask him, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord. 13 Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, and so with the fish. *I now invite forward Pastor Chester for a final guest preacher introduction. |
