Minister

Dr. Samantha Chao

Worship & Praise Ministry

A loving mother, a faithful wife, and a diligent learner, Dr. Chao received the Lord's calling to be Hosanna's Minister of Worship & Praise after many years of serving as a Worship Minister, Children's Minister, and Director of college ministry among intercultural churches in the Dallas area.

Dr. Chao is a gifted worship leader and passionate about raising the next generation of spiritual leaders. Her spiritual gifts reside in worship studies and servant-leadership among Asian heritage churches with multiple layers of generations and cultures, where she holds both the Master of Arts (in worship) and Doctor of Philosophy (in ministry leadership) degrees from Dallas Baptist University. Dr. Chao continues to serve doctoral students in the study of spiritual leadership as a dissertation committee member.

Rachel Ko

Preschool Worship
​& Children's Ministry

As a faithful servant of God who has been in covenant with Hosanna and all the children since the early stages of creating a preschool worship experience, Rachel believes it is her sacred calling from the Lord Jesus Christ to nurture younger generations in the faith by teaching them the Word of God starting from early childhood years.

​Rachel is gifted spiritually in child-focused instruction, child safety, and child welfare. She has worked in childcare for over three years and has served several summer Vacation Bible School camps in the spiritual nurture of children. She is dependable, punctual, and passionate to spread the simple truths of the gospel about Jesus into the hearts of His children.

Rachel is currently a student in the music therapy program at Texas Woman's University ​and loves playing instruments, singing, and spending time with loved ones.

Trey Reynolds

Worship Technology, Media
​& Arts Ministry

With already a solid foundation in ministry and media, Trey is excited to bring his spiritual gifts of media strategy and spiritual leadership to Hosanna Church. As a former pastoral intern for the youth ministry of Bethany Korean Presbyterian Church for five years, Trey served over 70 students ranging from middle school to high school conducting weekly Bible studies, assisting in churchwide events, providing media maintenance services, and leading the youth media team operations.

Trey's competencies include managing livestream setups, media equipment, multimedia audio/visual presentations, lighting systems, technical and troubleshooting support for instrumental and vocal enhancement, and preventative media maintenance. Trey's vision is to leverage media as a powerful tool for outreach and engagement of the gospel to a wider, farther digital audience so that the message of Jesus might go forth to the ends of the earth.

​Trey holds an associates degree in general studies from North Central Texas College, and is working towards finishing the bachelor of arts degree in Christian ministries from Dallas Baptist University, with plans to enroll in seminary for further graduate training to fulfill the Lord's calling on his life into ordained pastoral ministry.

​Chester Chung

Pastor Chung has over twenty years of ministry experience in the intercultural-immigrant church setting. His passions reside in the faithful exposition of Scripture, praying the Word of God, reformed-covenant theology, spiritual discernment, biblical conflict resolution, relational evangelism especially child evangelism, experiential discipleship, and the counseling ministry of the holy Spirit.

​Pastor Chung was called back to Bethany Korean Church in 2022 to take part in the planting of Hosanna. In addition to this role, he is a Presbytery Ordination Mentor and Assessor to candidates for ordained pastoral ministry with the Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians (ECO).

​Pastor Chung would love to listen to and pray for your pains/concerns/hardships, rejoice with you at God's answers through His Word, His Spirit, His provisions, His providence, His direction, help you take the flourishing next step in your walk with the Lord Jesus, and fellowship together in the grace and peace of Christ.
