Hello! This is the April prayer letter from the Kang family.

1. This place has finished the month-long Ramadan and has spent the past three days on the Bayram holiday. Our family also visited Afghan refugee families in the Black Sea region until yesterday and spent a happy holiday with the single mothers and youth there. In their lives of believing in God and living faithfully even in poor environments, we were able to see once again the figure of Jesus who is with the poor. Please pray that the Father's care and love will not be cut off from them.

2. I also went on mission trips to various churches during this Ramadan period. In addition to Seollal work, we played folk games to celebrate Nowruz, the New Year’s Day of Country I and Country A, and spent Seollal here with saints from various regions. These days, African refugee brothers are coming to a church in City C. They are Muslim brothers that the leader met in prison and converted to Islam. Please continue to pray for their settlement and upbringing. And I was asked to pray against the occult culture and satanic idols that are rampant in City K. Please pray for victory for City K and the people there.

3. Last Friday, I went to the immigration office to inquire about my visa, and I found out that my family's visa approval was finally denied. They said that if I receive a message on my phone, I have to leave the country within 10 days. It's a bit of a daunting situation, but I believe that this is also the Lord's good guidance, and I'm sorting things out one by one. Coincidentally, this week, I'm inviting people from the church in City A, where I live, who came to church on Sunday, to my house, so it'll probably be my last missions work schedule in this city. Until the day I leave this land, I ask for your prayers that I will do my best to serve God's Kingdom and His people.

In addition, the prayer letter that I started sending when I left the US in April of last year has already become the 13th letter. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all the partners who have been with my family with love and prayed for the past year. Without shame, I ask that you give me prayers for a moment for the sake of my family's future steps. Thanks.

1. 이 곳은 한달간의 라마단이 끝나고 지난 3일동안 바이람 명절을 보냈습니다. 저희 가정도 어제까지 흑해 지역에 있는 아프가니스탄 난민 가정들을 방문하여 그곳에 있는 싱글맘들 청소년들과 함께 기쁜 명절을 보냈습니다. 열악한 환경 속에서도 ㅎㄴ님을 믿으며 성실하게 살아가는 그들의 모습 속에서 가난한 이들과 함께하시는 ㅇㅅ님의 모습을 다시 한번 볼 수 있었습니다. 이들위에 아버지의 돌보심과 사랑이 끊어지지 않도록 ㄱㄷ를 부탁드립니다. 

2. 이번 라마단 기간에도 여러 지역의 회사들로 지방출장을 다녀왔습니다. 설ㄱ 업무를 포함하여 I국과 A국의 새해 설날인 노루즈를 맞이하여 민속놀이 게임도 진행하며 이곳의 설 명절을 여러 지역의 성ㄷ들과 함께 보내었습니다. 요즘 C 도시에 있는 회사에 아프리카 난민 형제들이 나오고 있습니다. 리더분이 감옥에서 만나고 전ㄷ한 이슬람 형제들인데 이들의 정착과 양육을 위해 계속 ㄱㄷ해 주시기 바랍니다. 그리고 K도시에 만연한 주술문화와 사탄적인 우상ㅅㅂ에 대하여 대적기도를 부탁 받았습니다. K 도시와 그곳에 ㄱㅎ를 위해서 승리를 위하여 ㄱㄷ해주시기 바랍니다. 

3. 지난 주 금요일 이민청에 찾아가서 비자에 관해 문의하는 중에 저희 가족의 비자 승인이 최종 거절되었다는 사실을 알게 되었습니다. 메세지가 핸드폰으로 전송되면 그때부터 10일안에 이 나라를 떠나야 한다고 합니다. 조금은 막막한 상황이지만이 또한 회장님의 선하신 인도하심이라 믿고 하나하나 정리를 해나가는 중입니다. 공교롭게 이번주에는 제가 살고 있는 이 A도시 회사에서 주일 ㅅㄱ를 감당하고 온 회사 분들을 집에 초대하기로 했는데 아마 이 도시에서 마지막 업무 일정이 될거 같습니다. 이 땅을 떠나는 날까지 최선을 다하여 이곳에 있는 ㄱㅎ와 ㅇㅎ들을 섬길 수 있도록 ㄱㄷ를 부탁드립니다.

덧, 지난해 4월 미국을 떠나오면서 보내기 시작한 ㄱㄷ편지가 벌써 13번째 편지가 되었습니다. 지난 1년동안 사랑과 ㄱㄷ로 저희 가정과 함께 해 주신 모든 동업자 분들께 깊은 감사를 드립니다. 염치 없지만 앞으로 저희 가정의 발걸음을 위해서도 잠시나마 ㄱㄷ를 부탁드립니다.​

​1. Ramadan (Islamic fasting period) begins here for about 30 days from today. In the past few weeks, we have seen the entire country busy preparing for Ramadan by shortening working hours, stocking up on food ingredients, and posting warning signs. I heard that there were many difficulties in working at local companies during this period. Please join us in helping local companies. In addition, as the Trump administration refuses to support and accept refugees, many refugees here are preparing to return to their home countries. Brother “H” and his family, whom we met in the earthquake-hit area last year and continued to socialize with, returned to their home country, Syria, this month. Please pray for the family to return safely and settle down, and for the small seeds they have sown to bear fruit.

2. The company's work continues to be active. Starting with the 4th visit to the earthquake-hit area last month, we held a wedding ceremony in city “A”, and in the second week, we visited a local company in city “C”, shared the words of our superiors, and had a happy reunion with the leader who was released from prison a month ago. In particular, we were grateful for the love and special attention of our superiors toward us while listening to the amazing story that occurred during the release process. Although there is no clear guarantee of identity and safety in the future, we ask that you protect this leader “M” and this family who were miraculously released from prison.

3. This is a request from a local friend – Sister “S.” This is a sister who suffered from an evil spirit for a long time, but immediately after accepting “JC”, the evil spirit left and her life recovered. I asked that her family in Iran to welcome this new change in her. As I mentioned, during the Christmas dinner party last year, her mother and older sister came to the company and listened to the presentation and had a positive response. They say her father is still stubborn, but I asked him to open his mind.

4. Thanks to the support of many people, our family has now adapted to life here. The children also find local food on the table every day and socialize well with the children here on the playground. And there are local people coming and going to our rented house here. Last week, we consulted with young people who visited with the owner of the house, and together with a business partner who lives next door, we invited about 20 Ankara company refugees to our house and had a small Korean night. Here, we ask for your support so that our family can continue to live a life according to the Book of Acts.

In addition, the residence permit visa process for our family, which we applied for in early February, has not yet started. Please pray that the visa process starts before March 15th (at least a week before March 7th) when the travel visa expires, so that we can get a good result.
